I have been taking my car to John at Brakemasters for years. They don't just change the oil and check your brakes. They look over my entire car and have discovered problems before they turn into complete nightmares and they let me see for myself. I am very grateful for John's expertise and knowledge. Thank you!!!
View on GoogleTook my stepson's 4Runner here for a rear brake issue. Problem was diagnosed as an axle seal failure. Axle seal was replaced, and a full brake job (front and rear) was completed as well. As part of the rear axle seal job, I was told that the backing plate was bent during the repair. I was assured that would not cause any issues. After the vehicle was driven for 1 day, the rear brakes seized up and had to be towed back to the shop. I was told that the brakes were just adjusted too tight, and the issue was resolved. Except it happened again. The vehicle was taken back, and I was again told the brakes were adjusted too tight, and told everything should be resolved after the adjustment. The next day the issue returned. Vehicle was taken back to the shop, and the backing plate was ordered. After the repair was completed, we were charged for the job on a part that they damaged during the initial repair. Unacceptable. That's not even going into the high-pressure sales tactics that were used to sell replacement lights. I never OK'd the job to replace the lights but the shop did it anyway. Stay away. I would never ever ever recommend this shop to anyone for anything.
