AC transmissions

I was traveling from NY to DC to take my daughter to a concert. The dealership replaced my transmission recently but it started to overheat…I pulled over to get one of those free code checks at an AutoZone and a guy in there suggested I call Anthony and ask him what my issue was. After spending time on the phone with me, he said I can come down….. I still had to get to DC that night so I couldn’t actually get anything fixed so it’s not like Anthony was getting a job out of this call. He knew that and still told me to come by. He came out, spent 20 minutes or so with me. He ran the codes, and even got under the car to look and tell me what to tell my dealership back home (they didn’t fix my issue the second time). I offered him a few bucks to at least buy him lunch or something. He refused and just told me to drive safe and have fun at the show. He didn’t have to do anything really. If I was an Eskimo and Anthony sold ice- I’d buy it from him. He explained more about transmission to me in 5 minutes than my dealership could figure out after 2 full service appointments. I’m only bummed I don’t live anywhere near AC Transmissions because I’d go there for anything. If you own a business, do yourself a favor and be like Anthony. My daughter even said when we pulled away, “he was nice”. If Anthony reads this - we made it to the show! Thank you again!

AC Transmissions is the kind of repair shop that you just don't find anymore - a very talented group of skilled mechanics who are fair in what they do. They are also polite and down to earth. AC was recommended to me by my mechanic, Dave at Rainey's Service Center in Monroe Township, NJ. They told me I would be happy with the service I received, and they were right. When I brought my SUV to AC, the process seemed too easy. They checked the codes and within a few minutes of arriving, they confirmed what I kind of already knew - that the transmission had to be rebuilt. Ed took my information, gave me a quote, and within a few minutes, I was on my way! I was told two weeks, and one day shy of two weeks, I received a call and was told I could pick up my vehicle. Driving home was like being in a different SUV. I couldn't even notice the shifting it was so subtle and smooth. Yes, it cost me some money to have the work done, but it was well worth it. I know I paid for quality work, and it was fair. I would rather fix what I already have than spend that money on car payments and higher insurance. I now feel confident taking my SUV anywhere. If you have a vehicle that has a transmission issue but is otherwise sound, take it to AC for an evaluation. You won't regret the excellent service you'll get. Highly recommend AC Transmissions. My 2014 Jeep Cherokee had a transmission issue where other shops wanted to replace the entire transmission for upwards of $3,000. Anthony was very honest and upfront about everything and was able to fix the issue for a fraction of the cost of a replacement. Very happy with everything and the price was more than fair. If you have a transmission issue highly recommend AC Transmission!

Phenomenal work by Anthony and his team. I came in with a hard shift issue and he quickly figured out the issue. Because of my job I need my truck all the time, and he was able to fit me in right away to get my transmission fully rebuilt. Everyone at AC Transmission was incredibly friendly, communicated well, and performed top notch service. There was even an issue with a defective part and they were able to get it replaced and get my truck done on time. I hope I never experience another transmission issue, but if I do this is the first place I’ll call.

Recently had my 2017 yukon denali xl serviced here was recommended by a great trustworthy shop I use (Benny's). I was experiencing vibrations between shifts. Anthony took it for a test drive and confirmed it was torque converter shudder and guaranteed if his crew changed the fluid to proper speced fluid( mobile 1 lv hp) and filter it would be better. He was right. Trans shifts better then before and shudders gone. Sadly I just got this truck and a shop had already changed the fluid and filter prior to me buying it and must not have used the right fluid. Ac transmissions hooked me up I dropped the truck off at 10 they called me at 2 to pick it up and the bill didn't cost me a arm or a leg. Thankyou Anthony for your honesty and professionalism and thankyou Ed for answering my calls, informing me about my warranty, handling and scedueling me and most importantly being kind and humorous with my babygirl.
