Nick's Garage

Tried to scam me out of $1000. I decided to give this place a chance since it had perfect 5 star reviews. Now I'm realizing that should have been a red flag. First of all this place is extremely difficult to find. Google maps is way off with their location, and the only way you can find them is by spotting a really small old looking sign, and driving down a long driveway that looks like it leads to someone's house. Took my 2014 Nissan Maxima to them because I was leaking coolant. I thought I had a leaky hose, and expected it to cost a few hundred dollars to have fixed. They tell me I have a hole in my radiator, and they need to replace the whole thing. Said parts and 4 hours of labor came to 1067$ I couldn't afford that, and wasn't aware of how badly they were trying to scam me at the time, so I simply asked for an oil change. As that was something I needed and just wanted to get out of the way. They charged me $160 for the oil change and diagnostic. Desperate, I took my car to a different mechanic who told me a new radiator costs less than $200. He was flabbergasted when I told him how much Nick's Garage was trying to charge me. He couldn't wrap his head around how 4 hours of labor could add up to that much. Oh, and it turned out my radiator didn't have a hole in it. Just a rusted hose clamp that needed to be replaced. So their diagnostic wasn't even correct. He replaced the clamp and my car has been working fine since. So definitely don't trust this place unless you want to be overcharged for parts and labor. This place must think pretty highly of itself to charge customers $200+/h for labor. Only to fix something that wasn't even broken.

Nick is the absolute best mechanic. He is very reliable, honest, fairly priced and an all around great guy. He has been taking care of my fleet of trucks for years and my family drives over 40 minutes to use him. I highly recommend Nicks Garage!
