VIP Tires & Service

I recently had some work done here and felt like it was a solid experience overall. The team knew exactly what they were doing and they got my car back to me faster than I expected, which was a huge relief. They were clear about what needed to be fixed and didn't try to upsell me on things I didn't actually need. It's nice to find a reliable place where the staff is professional and the quality of work is consistent. I'll definitely be coming back here for my regular maintenance.

After being a customer for a few years, I’m incredibly disappointed with my recent experience. After hitting a massive pothole, my car was towed to them on a Sunday. Even though I had just bought a brand-new set of four tires from them the previous week, it took them 4 days just to get a replacement tire in stock. Because of the pothole impact, I brought the car back on April 29 for a full four-wheel alignment. When I got it back, the steering wheel was noticeably crooked, pointing to the left. I brought it back a second time for them to correct it, but it still wasn't right. On June 10, I took my car to the dealership for routine service and asked them to check the steering. The dealership discovered a major cut in my rear right tire—damage that undoubtedly happened from the original pothole. VIP Auto had performed a full four-wheel alignment and had multiple opportunities to inspect the vehicle, yet they completely missed (or ignored) a massive safety hazard right on the outside of the tire. Because it was a safety hazard, the dealership required me to replace the tire before driving. They had it in stock, but knowing my VIP tires should be covered under warranty, I called VIP from the dealership to ask if they would reimburse me. They refused, stating that because the dealership was close to a VIP location, I should have brought the car back to them instead. However, I wasn't about to risk being without a car for another 4 days just to wait on them. I paid the dealer to replace it. Furthermore, the dealership confirmed VIP’s alignment was completely off. The dealer had to redo the alignment, and the car finally drives straight. Not impressed.

Great customer service. The man I spoke with was very friendly, helpful, knowledgable and confident at his job. He squeezed me into their busy schedule also, which I was very appreciative of. The only thing I would have changed is that I wish I had gotten a sticker on my windshield, like I usually get when I get an oil change, that reminds me of when my next oil change will be due. No biggie, but it is a good reminder when you have one. VIP changed my oil and air filter, which consisted of almost 6 quarts of synthetic oil, filled my fluids and put air in my tires for $124.00. They also gave me a quote for a full brake and rotor replacement job. It was a VERY reasonably price and they told me that their shop in Claremont would honor the quote I got there if I decided to go there for the work. (Closer to my home) Very good overall experience and I highly recommend.

Steve, Pete and Mark are great to work with. There are other staff too and I apologize for forgetting their names. They are very knowledgeable, personable, polite and help take care of all of my vehicle’s needs. They make me feel like I’m more than just another customer walking through the door. Highly recommend as they do great work.

When I get bad service I always want to warn others with a review. And while it is easy to accept good service without a review, I try not to. I try to make sure for every bad review I give that I give at least one and preferably at least two good reviews. This one is easy. Dealing with Pete and the crew at VIP was a pleasure. I was out of town and stuck with a flat and had a 6 hour drive ahead of me. They didn't have my tires in stock but hot shotted one of the desk people to pick them up at their nearby branch. Then they got me back on the road pretty quickly with a great set of new tires at a really good price. Can't beat that.
