Buchanan’s Service Center

Stopped by Buchanan’s about 30 minutes before closing and was helped by Patrick. He was incredibly friendly, took the time to answer my questions, and even taught me a few things along the way. He could have easily rushed me out the door, but instead went above and beyond to make sure I had what I needed. Great customer service and just an all-around genuine guy. Buchanan’s is lucky to have him on the team.

Great customer service! Unlike tires plus! It was 7 o'clock PM by the time I got there; I had a nail in my tire. They fixed it quick and it was cheap! I would definitely recommend them!

When I spoke with Steve at Buchanan’s, he stated that it appeared my daughter must have struck something because the alignment was so far out that the vehicle needed to go to a body shop. I explained that I had just installed all new suspension components, including inner and outer tie rods, upper and lower ball joints, and struts. He then suggested that some of the components must be defective. I was told we would receive a printout of the alignment results, but we never did. Based on this, I believe the vehicle was only inspected visually and was never actually placed on the alignment machine for an accurate measurement. Had they performed a proper alignment check, they would have seen that the camber and caster were within acceptable ranges and would not have caused tire wear or pulling. They also would have identified that the total toe was significantly out of specification and required adjustment. I do not normally speak negatively about a shop or its employees, but the level of service and the explanations I received were extremely concerning. I have previous experience performing alignments and understand the process and the relationship between suspension components and alignment measurements. If a shop does not fully understand how suspension geometry works or is unwilling to troubleshoot beyond the basics, they should not be offering alignment services. These are the types of results I would expect from a discount retailer, not from a professional repair facility. If they were unwilling to align the vehicle because they did not install the components, they should have communicated that clearly. If they genuinely believed parts had failed, that would have been an opportunity to explain the issues, recommend replacements, or at least document the findings. None of that occurred, which reinforces my belief that the vehicle was never actually evaluated on the alignment machine. An update to this situation confirms my concerns. I had the vehicle inspected and aligned at another shop, where they verified that there were no significant suspension issues and completed the alignment without any problems. Steve responded to this that i didn't receive a print out as I didn't pay, odd when he told me I would receive one. The truth is, I didn't receive a print out probably because they never put the vehicle on the machine. There was a small amount that caster that was out of alignment, but not enough to a) cause a pull, b) cause any tire ware. Again, anyone who knows how to align would know there is some play within the bolt holes of the upper strut mounts that would allow for this to be adjusted. I believe what happened was that Steve realized right away that I put my own parts on and didn't want anything to do with it. In the end, the other shop was able to align everything, total toe brought back to factory spec (very easily done if you tried), camber adjust as needed. Caster left alone as even though a shop could have made the adjustments, its not an orthodox method of doing so. The car with 150k+ plus didn't need to go to the body shop for sub frame adjustments. The car drives fine with no damage to the tires. This shop could have had my daughter's service for life, but failed to read the room. Maybe they are great at oil changes and wiper blades?

Awesome service. A late at night need for a new tire. Came to my location quickly and got a new tire put on in little time. Stephen and Patrick were very helpful , professional, kind and caring. Keep them around.

Pat and Sergio are both exceptional. I arrived in Omaha from Chicago late Friday night, around 8 pm, and noticed some crazy brake noise. Without hesitation, Pat took my car, drove it around, and returned with the car jacked up. I’m not sure what he did, but he successfully fixed the brake noise. These guys are rare and top-notch. I’d give them a 10/10 service rating. I wish I wasn’t in a rush to get to dinner because I would have bought them drinks. Might still stop in.
