Mel's Tire

Bruce gives the great small town service that reminds me of my own home area, and honest advice while he's at it. I had a tire fixed there and recommend this business to anyone. Edit: Bruce just helped us out of another pinch with a flat just before we left town. Very thankful and this time we back tracked to have it fixed here since we enjoyed doing business here on our previous visit. Thanks!!

We decided to take our old boat out (hadn’t been out in 5+ years), the tires were bald & one ended up popping on our way back from Libby. We put the spare on, but still had one bare tire that could pop at any moment. Locals pointed us to Bruce at Mel’s. He did a fantastic job, was done in no longer than 10 minutes! Very kind with AMAZING prices. He really saved out butt - thank you guys!!

This review is mainly for out of town folk, since most locals (including myself, now!) know this is the place to do tires! I was a bit nervous taking my fancy new wheels and tires here to get them mounted as the place doesn't look like much. I'm pleased to say my first impression couldn't have been more incorrect! The owner is very friendly, helpful, honest, and fair. He knows what he's doing and you can trust him implicitly with your vehicular footwear!

When I first moved to town and needed on-the-spot tire service, I asked a few trusted locals if I should check out Mel's Tire or make the trip to Missoula. "Bruce (the owner) is probably the most honest person in Montana," I was told, "To a fault." Sure enough, Bruce has consistently given us advice that has saved us money (Costco has typically been our tire supplier) and improved safety and performance on all of our vehicles. And he's a really nice guy, with a pretty awesome hat.

Bruce exemplifies all the best of a small town business. Always ready to help, good selection of tires and fair prices. I depend in him to for our business and family vehicles.
