Just picked up my jeep from this place, after being charged more than $500 for a diagnostic that was incorrect, having to bring the car back to then be told I need head gaskets that would run me nearly 2k, mind you this is after them having my car over 2 months! Little to no communication/updates and now I have my car back home after declining the repairs since I don’t trust this company and need another opinion and they left things taken apart, the car is riding worse then when I took it in and something fell off underneath the car and was dragging 5 minutes after leaving the shop. I wouldn’t recommend this place in any scenario and I’ll be filing complaints with the Michigan attorney general, Michigan Secretary of State as well as the better business bureau. This is absolutely unacceptable and I’m sure they only treated me this way because they assumed I wouldn’t be able to do anything about it. Never underestimate a man who seeks justice especially when you’re the one in the wrong.

Wonderful service from professional car experts. I needed new brakes and a few other repairs on my car, M1 was able to diagnose the issues, quickly order the correct parts, and install them within a day. They walked me through the repairs and made me feel at ease about the safety of my car.

I retired from waste management in 2024 after being in the brighton mi area for 10 years,I saw a caravan around island lake for 1500 because the body was in good shape,I knew I would be putting money into it and I did around 12000 even new transmission that was starting about the year 2019,when I retired I came back to clawson mi full time,it was around April of 2025 it started having trouble starting,I bought a battery from auto zone and it started but it was over starting meaning it was trying to catch the flywheel,I went about driving it like this for a while it got worse and eventually took it to Bayliss in clawson,they have two good mchanics one being the owner and another one that was on vacation and they get swamped,the owners wife told me they couldn't get to it for a couple weeks but she did call me when my van eventually ended up at m1brakes that I had to have towed there,this was around June or July of 2025 the receipts are in the van that has been sitting in the driveway,at m1brakes I met Ron a nice guy and seemed knowledgeable that told me it was the starter he said he'd get one and give me a call which he did he tried to sell me a battery but my battery was warranty at auto zone,a 5 year battery that at that time was three years old,I brought it the next day,he called me the next day saying he got the starter and I delivered the battery,my brother drove me and we were going to install it because the starter wasn't that old either and I was curious if it would start,Ron told me if you want to do the job go ahead,I'm just a little wary of mchanics my brother and I just left.the next day he calls and says your cars finished,I get dropped off and go try to start the car and it doesn't start he sends max out with a charger and it starts,max said you may need to drive and get the alternator charging your car,I go in and pay over $700 and I leave.at that time max was the only mchanic working there he's going from car to car doing this and that and I say to Ron this is pretty miserable and Ron said he couldn't find mchanics,I left and stopped at fabricare laundry in clawson turned car off went inside for 5 minutes came back out and vehicle only clicked I was very pissed about now I called Ron and he told me to bring it back I sat in the parking lot thinking what a bunch of crap,I waited,I had starters get hot and not start till the cooled down and that's what happened,I took it back and Ron told me your pluggs could need to be changed,I left disgustingly went home and waited, I was retired so I wasn't worried 25 days later I called Ron because I got paid and he told me it was done with the plugs $400,went I got there there were tools in the engine bay,the air filter casing was off and some other tools,Ron wasn't there probably hiding, max put the air filter casing on it needed at least half a quart of oil and he got his tools out,it started and I went in to pay and left got home shut it off and it wouldn't start so it just sits in the driveway now until I get cash and take it to Bayliss in clawson,the alternator was checked and good,the battery is suspect now that it's been drained so much, it starts with a quick charge I can drive leave it running and once I shut it off it won't start again,the van I replaced rack and pinion,both gaskets all fuel injectors,radiator and hoses,new battery,water pump,belts fuel pump,02 sensors,new transmission,starter wasn't four years old other things I can't remember I'm old now. The valve cover is leaking oil now since the plug change and smoking and all because of only one over worked mchanic that I should of never let near my car and a washed up 40 year mchanic who has no honor.

A quality shop. I had my rotars and brake pads replaced here. They are good at communicating options and offering suggestions. Got my car in quickly and I am happy with the results. I recommend them for any car enthusiast or person just keeping up on their maintenance.

These are the hardest working mechanics around. I had an issue with my Chevy Equinox and it took them a little while but they figured it out and now my vehicle runs great. The price was perfect for everything they did. I would definitely go back. Thanks guys for your service. You are all awesome 👍👍👍
