Champion Hargreaves Chevrolet - Service

This was a mixed service experience. Jacob, the service advisor, was excellent. He communicated clearly, returned calls, and kept me informed throughout the process. My concern is with the repair itself. After picking up the vehicle, I found a retaining clip laying underneath the oil filter. I was thankfully able to retrieve it and identify it, but finding a loose part after warranty work raises concerns about reassembly and inspection. I also noticed the coolant reservoir was filled above the clearly marked maximum line. Overfilling coolant points to missed final checks and adds to my concern about overall attention to detail. This was warranty work on a used vehicle. Confidence in the quality of the repair matters. I understand this dealership does not service Chrysler vehicles often, but basic quality control should not slip. Strong experience with the service advisor. Ongoing concerns with the execution and final inspection of the repair.

This place has been a nightmare. I brought my car on December 21st. Since then, it has been in their service center major and minor for repairs 3 times! The last time, it needed an exhaust manifold. They also left the panel in the backseat to the gear shift unsecured when they gave me my car back.it was the back seat, so I didn't notice until they were closed. When I went back to have it secured, they had my car for 30 minutes. No big deal. When I got back in and started it up, the entire car vibrated and shook! I asked them immediately what the problem was and was given the run around by the server rep. He did go to see if someone could "look" at my car that day because when he also started the car, and it vibrated and shook when he started it. He came back to say no one could look at it that day, which is fine. I asked for an appointment for the following week because I go to take care of veterans on the weekend in their homes and need my car. It seemed to be running for now. He said sure, but when he took me to my desk, he did not make the appointment he proceeded to write down on a piece of plain paper to bring the car back. When I said this was unacceptable, he proceeded to write a note in a Word document to being the car back. He didn't even try to write up the issue on a service statement as they had done in the past with all the other repairs I had to make an appointment to get done. I called the manager of the service department multiple times with no response. I had to call GM and ask about the warranty. This place make GM LOOK BAD! THIS PLACE IS SHADY THEY CLAIM TO BE GM CERTIFIED BUT THEY SELL CARS THAT NEED MULTIPLE MAJOR REPAIRS AND ONLY GIVE A 6 MONTH WARRANTY! DO NOT USE HARGREAVES CHEVROLET FOR SERVICE OR PURCHASING A USED VEHICLE UNLESS YOU WANT TO GET RIPPED OFF!!! OH last my cousin owns a tire and auto shop. I went to him because they claimed when I had my oil change I needed new tires. I asked about the brakes they said "oh your brakes are fine they just feel weird because you need new tires." They even gave me a quote on new tires. Well guess what my cousin who sells tires all day told me my tires were in great shape! He did say you need new brakes! Hargreaves Chevrolet us filled with a bunch of liars and thieves!

After a very unfortunate & anonymous ‘accident’ at a local parking lot (which caused some significant scratches to the side of my beautiful 2021 Blazer), I was forced to find a local business that would be able to fix this problem to - hopefully - as good as new! 🤞 Well… I can honestly say that Peter and his incredible team at Champion Hargreaves Chevrolet is Royal Oak did a PHENOMENAL job making this repair. From start to finish, Peter & his team could not have been more professional, communicative & just flat out OUTSTANDING to deal with. The whole process was effortlessly (from a customer standpoint), and Peter helped walk me through everything of what would take place in great detail. In just a few days, the job was complete - and the vehicle GENUINELY looks as good as new. I’m beyond pleased as a customer here, and Peter and his entire team at Champion Hargreaves Chevrolet in Royal Oak deserve nothing but praise for their fine work throughout this process. Though my HOPE is that my vehicle stays perfect the rest of its days… but if anything else goes wrong with it, I KNOW I will be coming back here again. 5-Stars across the board. I had a very pleasant gentlemen that helped me.His name is Alan Bell i would highly recommend him. And we're able to repair my car in a timely manner. It was a great experience.

Usually, my service experience has been good at this location, so I hope this is a one off issue. Showed up to take care of rotating tires and recall on my EV. After 2 hours was told it is unsafe to drive and recall would take a few days. I understand that. So thinking they would give me a loaner and be ready to go. Asked me if I needed a loaner and rather than getting it ready I was taken to the local Enterprise location. Location was packed with customers on a Friday afternoon. Waited 1/2 hr til I finally got to the counter to be told we don't have a GM car available for me. Wow. Waited about an hour to have them supply a tiny car to me. Buick Encore. Not a very seamless operation that I would have expected. Wasn't happy and let my service agent know that.
