I absolutely love this place and the owner! Everyone is incredibly kind, honest, and helpful. The prices are always fair, and the service is consistently top-notch. I’ve been coming here for years, and as a woman, I know how important it is to find a business you can truly trust. Unfortunately, not every place operates with integrity, but this one does. They have always been transparent, reliable, and professional. No matter how far I move, I’ll continue coming back because great service and honesty are hard to find. Al and the rest of the team at Redford Auto are awesome - have used them several times for both small and big jobs. Most recently they helped me and my wife with some engine work on one of our vehicles and they handled all the backend work of coordinating with our warranty. Highly recommend!

Got my 2016 Acadia fixed. They fixed the transmission. We had a warranty and wanted the fuel pump fixed but was told it wasn't included even though we could clearly see it was in our paperwork. We mentioned that there was a problem with our driver door but never confirmed we wanted it fixed. Our warranty covered the transmission but we had to pay $100 out of pocket for a diagnostic on a door we never confirmed we wanted physically checked, we just inquired about. Confused on why we needed to pay a diagnostic fee if we got services. I would not recommend this place if you have a warranty. My car still rides bad and I have to find another mechanic for my fuel pump repair.

DO NOT USE THIS SHOP!!! I brought my dodge journey here in March, it was a complete diagnostic done and EVERYTHING that they said was wrong we got repaired (so we thought) which came to $4038 transmission, thermostat housing ($150) and a list of other things, picked it up March 17, 2026 and less than a month later at 12am I’m stranded 25 mins from home, because the car is overheating and it won’t accelerate, had to wait for an hour and pay for a tow (over $150) bring it back to the shop and was told it’s the transmission and thermostat (now being told I have to pay $150 for the thermostat!!!) I am using snap so of course I still had to pay that weekly payment, on top of spending hundreds and hundreds of dollars for Lyfts, Ubers, and Rides to get myself and my son back and forth to school, doctors, basketball games etc. The car was dropped off April 15th or 16th and it’s now ready for pick up on April 25th (just imagine how much money for transportation). I suggest not to ever use this shop for repair (even with the warranty), it’s no way they aren’t willing to compensate for their mess up. My brother Darnell uses this shop that’s why we went here. I called asking about that, and told them per the report it was fixed ($150) and was told I would get a call back after he looked into that, (if it’s something different why not say that, but also why wasn’t it replaced if that’s the case) well I never got a call back until they called my brother saying come get it and pay ($150). It’s sad how this shop just thinks honoring a so called warranty is just enough after such an expensive repair. I don’t play about my time or money and they’ve played with both, times are too hard to have to go through this and pay extra for something that was repaired already. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY!!!! I’m beyond upset and out of A LOT OF MONEY AND DON’T HAVE AN EXTRA $150 at the time to spare after all of the money I’ve come out of these 10/11 days.

Al has great character he is a great person. The Shop is very professional very clean and they do right by people and he treats you like Family. This is the place to go. I’m telling you don’t go nowhere else come straight through. They’ll get it done!!!!!!!!
