Beware Beware Beware after 10+years as a loyal customer, I’m extremely disappointed with Protech Redford under new management (Jay, Ali) Now Ali was the one that handled all of my business in December regarding my car 2025, he insisted that they will take care of me and that what my car needed he had to take my car to his sister company AutoCare 911 LLC in Detroit and get everything done there. I did not like this at ALL I expressed my concerns because Fred at Protech the mechanic has always Worked o my car Ali assured me everything will be fine. I paid 5,000 to have an engine replaced with a 1year warranty and a catalytic converter Just 4 months later, my car engine light blinking, car hesitating and cutting off. I called panicking spoke with Jay he told me to bring the car in. I did the following Monday afternoon. I was told I needed spark plugs or a tune up and transmission work. Jay was very rude, dismissive and denied ever despite our conversations I have receipts. He wanted to charge me again for something that should have been covered under my warranty and my replacement engine. I explained to him why I am upset however he did not care he proceeded to brush me off and tell me he knows Nothing about it and told me to get off his property. The situation escalated with him cursing at me and recording as if I did something I just wanted my car to be fixed after paying 5,000 so I will NEVER return there again to give someone your money and you get treated like that. Completely unprofessional I worked with Alex he NEVER talked that way to me. They are running a SCAM. Sincerely 5,000

I have had my cars serviced here for the past 10 years. The customer service is exceptional, the pricing is always very competitive, and the turnaround is impressively fast—often completing jobs within an hour or two. What I appreciate most is their honesty; they consistently discuss needed repairs based on necessity and my budget. Over the years, they have handled a wide range of services, including engine work, brake repairs, electrical issues, exhaust repairs, oil changes, and more. Ali most recently led the service on my vehicle and truly embodies all of these qualities.

This place just knows how to mess your car up more so you come back and spend more money. I had them replace my throttle body and now everytime I get my oil changed, the throttle body light comes on when it was replaced. And now I also found out from a different shop that whoever previously worked on my car being Pro Tech stripped the bolts of my exhaust manifold cover and made it to where the next guy couldn’t properly put it on the right way. And a couple years ago they messed up a sensor for my mother’s ac on her car, also my grandma went there about a month ago to have her oil changed and just a few weeks after, she was already bone dry and had to pay over a thousand dollars in repairs due to damages they caused. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY HERE.

Ali over at pro tech auto repair is the best shop on the west side, no the best in detroit metro area. The best repair prices and parts. Check them out. Took care of my warranty claim fast and no issues. 100%

The new manager Ali is great. Sent photos of my brakes. Price was way lower than the shop down the street. In and out with no surprises. Great job guys I'll definitely return in the future.
