Belle Tire

Giving 1 star because there is no zero stars. I’ve been a loyal cust at various Belle’s for 15-20 yrs. No more. I’ve started running most large purchase receipts thru AI to compare fees to other similar vendors. They charged me $387 for a part advertised on AutoZone website for $72. I’m a business owner and believe everyone needs a decent margin on all they provide. This is third time I’ve suspected they charged what I view as highest rate for goods. So I decided to call them on it in person, with my receipt for $750 (387.99 for Vapor Canister Purge Valve). I spoke w/Justin and asked to explain why part was described as a single item, but labor details referenced R &R of 3 items, all having a descriptive reference to the vapor canister issue. BTW, ChatGPT validated that most of the labor fees were w/in range of other similar places, but indicated the $387 was half again to more than double what they’d expect from shops that tend to add really high markups. Moving to Discount Tire in Novi, who on numerous occasions has given us very good service and once they actually fixed a ‘Belle bought’ tire at no charge, because I was waiting when they opened that day, with a leaky tire on way to Lansing and running late. The real p.o. moment was when Justin’s response was, “well you knew the repair fee when you authorized it”. Yes, I did phone authorize it, but had no idea the value proposition of this seemingly inexpensive part. I also was not offered this defective part(s) back….Not surprised, but VERY DISAPPOINTED!!!

went in looking to purchase a set of winter rims, tires, TPMS for my wifes 2020 buick enclave with 18" wheels. Also looking to purchase a new set of all seasons to mount to her stock rims. Was told "there are no winter tires or rims that fit that vehicle". Rep was not interested in my business or trying to help me out. Went to a competetor up the road and spent $3600 and got exactly what I needed. Setup with some nice all season yokos for the spring, as well as some blizzaks in 255/65 r18 and a new set of 18" rims and TPMS for the winter. Not sure what the deal is, last feb the petosky location of Belle tire went above and beyond for me. This location gives belle tire a bad name, wont be back.

Absolutely impressed by this location. Helpful and great work. Took care of my tire that was repairable. Put it back on, put the spare back under car, then called when my cap was left off. Customer service like this is hard to come by anymore. May all their locations be the same. For me it was a great satisfying return to the old days of customers being treated like they own the place.

I had an outstanding experience at Belle Tire! Drake went above and beyond to help me, he was patient, knowledgeable, and truly cared about making sure my issue was resolved. It’s rare to find that level of customer service these days, and I left feeling completely taken care of. Thank you for making what could have been a stressful situation so easy! I’ll definitely be back and will recommend this location to others.

Had bad experience this morning. Wanted to get tire rotation service to the tires purchased at this location a few years ago. Checked tread wear bar already and also could not see the top of Lincoln’s head in penny. But a person at front desk said your tire wear level was low and recommended to buy new tires instead of rotation. They denied rotation service even though tread wear still looks good. When they sold tires, they promised for lifetime rotation service but did not keep theirs. I do NOT recommend this location.
