I called this place asking a few simple questions about leveling kits and installation, and the customer service was terrible. The person I spoke with was rude, dismissive, and had a bad attitude the whole time almost like they didn’t want to be bothered helping a potential customer They sounded annoyed, gave vague answers and didn’t even try to explain anything clearly I was hoping for helpful information but instead I just got attitude. Based on this experience I would not recommend this shop to anyone looking for respectful or professional service.

Brought in my Cadillac CTS for a custom muffler and quad exhaust tip installation and Greg's work is nothing short of perfect. Meticulously detail-oriented and the results speak for themselves, plus super friendly and great to work with. Can't get over how happy I am with how my car looks with the new tips installed. I highly recommend anyone in need of exhaust work to take their business here!

Greg did the exhaust on my 1970 AMX, truly custom work. Added an H pipe and tailpipes. First class work and and awesome person to ‘boot’. I can’t say enough about the quality of work. Very (very!) reasonable price! Dedicated the entire day to my car! Highly recommended!

Greg is more than capable of producing good work. Unfortunately in my experience I did not leave a happy customer. Greg bragged about 30 years of experience & his welds being perfect. Greg somehow managed to mess up a simple job. I had him put my stock OEM mid-mufflers back on my 2020 Charger Widebody hellcat. To my surprise, he put the mufflers back on upside down, making the drain holes useless and the car left with a rattling / exhaust leak noise when I drove the car hard. When I brought the issue back to him he stated “he’s never done one of these before & couldn’t tell me which way the Inlet and outlet was & didn’t realize what way the drain holes go” he also mentioned “just because you can hear (the noise) doesn’t mean someone else will” To try to fix this, he slapped some exhaust sealant on it and said the noise was from the drain holes. I left his shop still not being happy but did not want to deal with him being rude and not wanting to correct the issue with him. I took the car to another shop a few miles away and they were more than happy to address my issue.. The new shop corrected the issue by flipping the mufflers back over and re-welding / fitting new pieces back to near perfect OEM like, my issue was solved by another shop. (Special thanks to Gary Cook at PFE exhaust) To sum up, I WOULD NOT recommend Greg at Great Lakes customs to anyone. He can produce quality work but this time he didn’t. In short, Greg is rude , not friendly, not prompt on time, very unprofessional, provided poor quality work, and in my situation did a really botched job on something could’ve been fixed so simple.

Greg is AMAZING! Greg just completed an exhaust job (headers, h-pipe and flomaster mufflers) on my 65 GTO. Totally changed the sound of the car. Found Greg via the great Google reviews that were already posted and he did not disappoint. From the onset Greg was informative, transparent and and all around great guy. I had gone a few other places first and was told some inaccurate things about headers for my car. Greg gave me his opinion and also called two other buddies he knew in the classic industry and squashed the inaccuracies. I am a younger guy who loves classics but am still learning the nuances of the older cars but have a buddy who knows a ton. He went with me to pick up the car and told me the job Greg did was impeccable. Great attention to detail, great welds and said he was super impressed with the job. I am a guy who will pay for great work and service as I believe you get what you pay for. Greg was WAY reasonable with his pricing and actually significantly below the other shops I visited first. Hard to find guys you can trust in the service industry but trust me Greg is a top notch guy for exhaust. Thank you Greg the first ride sounded amazing and the car has more pep when stepping on the gas as you mentioned it would. I appreciate all the advice and the craftmanship you provided. If you are looking for custom exhaust my advice is go to Greg. Stand up guy with a great end result for a reasonable price. Thank you to those who posted prior reviews as that is how I found Greg. I wish there were more people like Greg out there.
