⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5/5 – Incredible work and true pride in craftsmanship! I can’t say enough good things about Bath City Auto Spa in Mount Clemens. This family-owned business has been around for over 30 years, and it’s easy to see why. I brought my black truck in after more than a year of neglect and a month parked under several evergreens — it was completely covered in sap and grime and in rough shape. I honestly thought I had ruined it. They spent two full days on it and somehow made it look better than the day I bought it. The truck was absolutely beautiful. They went way above and beyond — restoring the rhino bed liner, hand-wiping inside the engine compartment, undercoating the truck, and even removing my old seat covers, bagging them up, and cleaning the seats underneath. The attention to detail was unbelievable. You can tell these guys take real pride in what they do. He was happy to show me the results, and it’s clear they genuinely enjoy seeing a customer excited about their vehicle again. That pride and hard work really show in the final result. They’ve earned a lifelong customer, and I’ll be recommending Bath City Auto Spa to everyone I know.

A nice family owned small business.. Eddie was very personable and though I was originally calling around, trying to get an “El Cheapo” interior job on my older 2009 HHR, he convinced me that spending just a few extra dollars was worth it to get EVERYTHING done (my car had YEARS of stains in the carpets & seats and even some grease/paint/salt/rust stains) He was definitely right.. my HHR is now as close to looking new as it possibly could be, from cleaning the engine and under hood, to buff out and several wax coats, spotless tires/mags, seats/carpets, and trim. I’m impressed! I’ll be sending more work his way if I can.

Our family is constantly on the road and with families things get messy. I’m beyond impressed with the detaining on our vehicle. They got me in quickly and I can attest my car is cleaner now than I day I got it. Highly recommend. Very nice people too! We will utilize in the future.

I have had many car detailers do my cars in the past and I have been satisfied. I didn’t realize I was settling for just “ok” work until I went to Bath City Auto Detailing. Just picked up two vehicles that have been neglected. I was shocked at what was returned to me. The cars are absolutely beautiful. Every nook and cranny was cleaned. The leather in both cars look amazing. The carpets look brand new. The exteriors blew me away. The shine and sparkle of my two cars is beautiful. My primary car had a few light scratches by the handle, gone! Also, scheduling was easy. My cars were done on time as promised. At first, I was shocked by the price. Once I got by cars back, I will say it was worth every penny. I can’t believe I simply settled before. I cannot say enough good things about Bath City Auto Detailing.

I paid $300 for a “full detail” on a mid-sized SUV. Based on many past experiences with other detail shops, that price sets a clear expectation for thorough interior and exterior work, including wheels (faces and barrels) and a final quality-control inspection. Unfortunately, the finished result did not meet that standard. When I arrived to pick up the car, I immediately noticed multiple areas on the exterior that had not been cleaned. To their credit, those spots were addressed on the spot. However, once home and looking more closely, it was clear the wheel barrels (inside the spokes) had not been cleaned at all and were still coated with brake dust. The interior also fell short. The car smelled like cigarette smoke when I drove it home, which was particularly disappointing. I later learned this was likely odor transfer from a smoker rather than someone smoking in the vehicle, but either way, the car was returned with an odor it did not have before. I took a short video of the brake dust and sent it to Eddie, who called me immediately and offered to rewash the car for free. I appreciate his responsiveness and willingness to engage; that part was handled professionally. When I returned to the shop to discuss whether a rewash made sense or whether a refund would be more appropriate, it became clear that the issues were likely systemic rather than a one-off miss. The employee who worked on the car acknowledged the mistakes, and based on my discussion with him and the owner, it did not appear there was a clearly defined checklist or final quality-control process in place. Ultimately, I chose not to proceed with a rewash and instead accepted a partial refund. Eddie and I resolved the transaction amicably, and I allowed the shop to retain $100 of the original $300 to reflect the work performed, which fell well below what that price point implies. I don’t believe there was bad intent here. However, this appears to be a shop that relies heavily on effort and goodwill but lacks the systems necessary to consistently deliver at a premium price point. Customers with very high expectations for a “full detail” should take that into account before booking.
