I am the treasurer of a youth nonprofit and was part of the decision-making process for purchasing a vehicle from this dealership. I was also responsible for releasing the funds for the purchase. This vehicle was bought specifically to support a young person in our program who had been walking to work in below-freezing temperatures. We were excited to finally provide him with reliable transportation so he could focus on stability and growth instead of survival. Within one week and approximately 100 miles of use, the vehicle developed serious issues. An independent mechanic documented a failed rear shock mount, additional suspension concerns, exhaust leaks, a transmission fluid leak, and the need for immediate maintenance. Because the nonprofit did not have additional funds available to cover repairs so soon after purchase, the situation became critical very quickly. What is unacceptable to me as a treasurer is that, during this time and in the middle of winter, the young person ended up repairing one of the vehicle’s issues himself in a driveway, in the snow, because we did not yet have the resources to address everything and the seller declined to meaningfully assist. That should never happen in a situation involving youth, especially when assurances were made at the time of sale about standing by the vehicle. I understand that used vehicles require maintenance. That is not the issue. The issue is how quickly significant problems surfaced and how the situation was handled afterward, particularly given that the buyer was a young person and the purchase was made through a nonprofit with limited resources. The price may seem affordable, but buyers should be prepared for substantial repairs almost immediately and should not rely on verbal assurances. From a financial and ethical standpoint, this was a deeply disappointing experience.

Changing my review to 1 star. Sold me a car that needs a transmission. Traveled 4 hrs to get it was told multiple times that the car had nothing wrong with it. Asked for straight up honest answer since I was traveling 4 hrs and again told nothing wrong with it and has no problems. Would do negative stars if I could. Please do not take their word for it when they say nothing is wrong with the vehicle to give you a lame excuse and to why the car is acting a certain way.

I purchased a 2012 Mazda5 from this dealer in January for use in a youth nonprofit program. I explained clearly at the time of sale that the vehicle would be used by a youth participant working to get back on the right path, and that reliability was critical. I also explained that the youth would be involved in the purchase decision, which the seller acknowledged. The vehicle was sold as-is, which I understood. However, the seller verbally stated that he stands by his cars and would address issues not caused by how the vehicle was driven. Within one week and roughly 100 miles of normal driving, a rear shock mount snapped, causing loud rattling. I immediately took the vehicle to an independent mechanic. In writing, they documented: Broken rear shock mount Recommendation to replace rear shocks Transmission fluid leak Multiple exhaust leaks Oil change needed immediately I contacted the seller right away and provided the written inspection. While he initially stated he would offer discounted labor if parts were supplied, he ultimately declined to address the issues beyond that limited offer, would not commit to timelines, and stopped responding despite multiple follow-ups and clear time constraints related to school transportation and winter driving. I understand used vehicles involve wear. My concern is how quickly multiple significant issues surfaced and that the seller did not follow through on the assurances made at the time of sale. Communication became unprofessional and dismissive once repairs were discussed. The vehicle was inexpensive, but it required substantial repairs almost immediately. If you buy here, be prepared for that possibility. Shop around if you have time, get a thorough inspection, and do not rely on verbal promises. This was a difficult lesson learned, especially given the impact on a youth nonprofit program.
