I had a great experience with this shop. It came recommended from a local Berkley group. I spoke with Kamile on the phone ahead of time, and she walked me through everything, including how to get the vehicle dropped off. They got me in pretty quickly as well. The vehicle was diagnosed very quickly, and they provided a detailed breakdown with the bill via text. The mechanic then called me to explain things. As the needed repair was outside their wheelhouse, he told me I'd need to find another shop, but he was nice enough to explain what most likely needed to be done along with a high-level estimate. I paid over the phone for the diagnostic, and he walked me through picking up the vehicle through their lockbox system after hours. It was a quick and easy process. The only unfortunate part is they only work on newer cars (within the last 20 years), so I'll have to find another place to take my 2000 Trans Am WS6.

I know nothing about cars and always get a little nervous when I have to take my vehicle in anywhere. The staff at Northern Auto Repair made everything super easy to understand, gave me plenty of options after diagnosing the issues and were incredibly friendly through out the entire process. Made the whole process easy and manageable which is what you want when you potentially have to drop a bit of cash on your vehicle, def recommend.
View on GoogleSuperb service and customer care!! I brought my 2019 Chevrolet Colorado in for a repair, with a bit of urgency. My truck had been repaired the prior week in Palm Coast, Florida. But, upon the drive to Michigan, it was discovered the repair was not done properly. I contacted Northern Auto Repair, who immediately arranged for my vehicle to be serviced. They were thorough and its diagnosis, and thorough with keeping me abreast of the type of repair needed, and the cost associated with the repair. I highly recommend Northern Auto Repair! My intent was to gift my son who has three young daughters with this truck, as I wanted him to drive a more reliable vehicle in Michigan. View on GoogleI had a good experience at Northern Auto! On my first visit, I had an oil change and tire rotation done on my Subaru Crosstrek. This included a free multipoint inspection and they texted me a link with the results. The results show what needs immediate attention, what will need attention soon, and what is in good condition (red, yellow, green). The inspection confirmed my rear brakes needed to be serviced immediately, so I went back a few days later. Communication is great, I appreciate that they are available via phone or text. They have coupons on their website too that I recommend checking out! My partner has taken his car (Kia Niro) to Northern Auto as well a few times and has also had good experiences there.
