I was sent to Salem St Auto through Carvana’s insurance after my front bumper got damaged in transit. Not my first choice, but my options were limited, this or Maaco, so didn’t have much of a choice. From day one, communication was basically nonexistent. Calls went unanswered, voicemails disappeared into the void, and getting any kind of timeline felt like I was at work trying to close a deal with no seller. What was supposed to be a simple 3 day repair somehow stretched into a 2.5 week saga with zero proactive updates. Now, credit where it’s due, the bumper repair itself? Solid. They did a good job. But here’s the kicker: I go to pick up my car, and suddenly I’m walking into a new problem. My driver side door and fender are scuffed enough that it clearly needs buffing, maybe even repainting. And just like that, we’re back to square one. Except this time, no one’s there. No staff, no accountability, no answers. I call, again and again, and it’s the same story: no pickup, no callback. Total silence. Which, by the way, has been the theme of this entire experience. At a certain point, your time becomes more valuable than the fix seeing that they are also 40 min away. So I made a decision, I’ll take the car, handle the new damage myself, give them a negative review and move on. Because dealing with this level of uncertainty again? Not worth it. Still haven’t heard back, by the way. Called again today. Maybe this gets their attention. 2 week update- bumper gapping terribly, please avoid these people. And no i have yet to hear back from them.

If I could give 0 stars, I would. My vehicle sat at this shop for four weeks while I was repeatedly given the runaround. Throughout that time, we were led to believe the repair process was moving forward, and finally were told (for the second time) that the vehicle was ready for pickup, implying the work had been completed. When I picked up my vehicle, something felt off, so I contacted the insurance company to ensure all was in order. That's when I learned the shop had NEVER followed up with the insurance company and NO repairs had actually been completed. Four weeks wasted, atrocious communication, misleading updates, and absolutely no accountability. Delays happen, but telling a customer a vehicle is ready when nothing has been repaired? Wildly unacceptable. I genuinely feel sorry for anyone who trusts this business with their vehicle. My experience was dishonest, unprofessional, and left me wondering how a shop can operate this way and still look customers in the eye. Disgraceful.

My car was backed into by an 18 Wheeler while parked outside my house. The back wheel and suspension was bent as well as the pictured damage. Hanover insurance recommended me to go to Salem St Auto body as it was one of their partners. I dealt with Carlos the manager and he was straightforward and honest on every occasion. This repair took a while and yes it they did not always know exactly when the car would be done and yes I could not always get someone one the phone right away. Carlos at one point gave me his phone number so I could text him. I thought that was cool. This guy is busy. He is not just managing the office he is working after hours to get things done. So I cut him some slack being in a different repair business myself I know how it goes. It is really frustrating not having a car for an extended period of time. But I wanted it done right and I got the impression that they were doing everything they could. Fast forward to the results. All the panels line up, the paint is perfect. The car drives just like it did before the accident. There was a little bit of overspray on the car on a portion that was not worked on. Not bad, but I told Carlos and he bent over backwards to make it perfect, right away. Also since I went over my rental coverage the owner Paul offered a reimbursement for some of the rental charges! This is great service all around. I guess these things take time now a days depending on parts, availability, etc. But as far as the people and the work done at Salem St Auto body I am very happy. :) Thank you!

I had a wonderful experience at Salem Street Auto Body. I came in with a scratched bumper, and they gave me a quote that was fair and reasonable. They told me exactly how long it would take to fix, and they made drop off and pick up easy and smooth. The result was fantastic -- my car was restored good as new, and I will be recommending them to all my friends. Thank you so much! =)

The people that work here are amazing. They are great people and operate with efficiency that I’ve never seen before! Brought my car in on the 5/2 and it was done by 5/9! I want to give a special thanks to Carlos, a 19 year old kid, who fixed a spontaneous problem within a matter of minutes. Salem st auto body is lucky to have such young and talented staff! Now my car looks like new! Overall 10/10 would recommend!
