I had a really good experience with Subaru Wakefield. We dealt with Mike from Parts & Services. He did good by us, our suburu had a bad tire that was discontinued. Mike went above and beyond to get replacement tires inhand for us and was able to get us in and out same day in less than a couple hours. I have no complaints and was very satified with the service provided.

Brought my car in because my Check Engine light came on. First, they charged $150 for a diagnosis (which is ridiculous, I’ve brought my car in to other Subraru dealerships for a diagnosis without being charged). They quoted me $10k for a repair on my engine and my axle on my very old car, so I went and got a second opinion from another mechanic. The mechanic told me there was absolutely nothing wrong with my engine, and charged me significantly less for the axle repair. This dealership absolutely tried to scam me and I will not be returning. I took my 2024 Subaru in for an appintment on a Saturday morning: oil change, sticker and tire rotation. $200 and 2 hours later... I feel like it took too long and I overpaid.

Go anywhere else. I’ve had both a negative buying experience and now a negative service experience at Albrecht Subaru of Wakefield. After recently purchasing my car from them, I came with a failed battery and felt completely dismissed. Nicole, the service advisor I worked with, did not seem to care about my issue or offer any meaningful help or advocacy. As a recent customer, I expected at least a basic level of support, but instead I was left feeling like once the sale was done, the dealership no longer cared. It’s especially frustrating to have to pay out of pocket to replace a battery so soon after purchase, with no sense of goodwill or customer care. Unfortunately, this dealership has not lived up to the level of service I’d expect from Subaru.

The check engine light came on, and I had the car towed in. Without performing proper diagnostic tests — such as compression testing, crankshaft inspection, or full evaluation of external systems like ignition, fuel injection, and sensors — the service team quickly concluded the engine was “seized” and must be replaced. When I asked for a full diagnostic report, I was told it would cost $3,000 — just to confirm the issue. This seemed unreasonable and made me question the motivation behind the engine replacement suggestion. They also denied warranty coverage based on missing oil change records between 3,000 and 35,000 miles, even though I had completed regular maintenance. They focused on paperwork gaps rather than actual engine condition, and even pointed to a five-day gap between two service visits as a red flag. The entire process felt rushed, unfair, and dismissive. Instead of helping the customer understand the real issue, they focused on avoiding responsibility. I am now seeking an independent evaluation and may pursue consumer protection action. ⚠️ I strongly advise others to request full technical documentation, challenge vague explanations, and consider a second opinion before agreeing to major repairs or accepting warranty denials.
