My review is based on tonight’s experience. I was coming from my job, located two streets away. At some point, I drove over a metal piece stuck to a thick piece of plastic, which went straight into my tire. Fortunately, I was directly facing Al’s, so I drove into the parking lot. They had just turned off the open sign as it was already 5 PM. I was so lucky that they decided to take a look at my tire, which I assumed had gone flat immediately. They put my car on the lift and were able to save the tire with a plug. I can’t thank them enough! They could’ve easily just told me to call AAA, but they took time after hours to help me. Five star service!

I had a very frustrating experience with this shop from start to finish. I first brought my car in January for service and paid $2,100. I was told everything was all set and picked up my car. Less than a month later, I had to bring the car back because the issue clearly wasn’t resolved. When I returned, they kept the car to “look into the problem.” What was extremely disappointing is that I was never contacted or asked for approval before they did additional work or charges. When I went to pick up the car, I was suddenly told I owed another $500. Even more frustrating, after charging me that additional $500, they then told me there was nothing they could do to fix the problem and that I would need to take the car somewhere else. So in total I paid $2,600 + tow and still left with the same unresolved issue. At the very least, a shop should communicate with customers before adding charges and should stand behind their work. Unfortunately, that was not my experience here. I would not recommend this place based on how my situation was handled.

They took care of me right away and got my car squared away promptly. Upselling other products or services was very minimal and not overwhelming like other businesses. 3 stars, because there’s a middle-aged gentleman at the front desk that’s a little rough with his customer service skills or lack thereof…made me feel like I was bothering them by bringing my car in for business. Also, there’s a surcharge for paying with your credit card.

Big Al’s Auto Repair is seriously the best. The service was great, super honest, and really easy to deal with. Eric and Mike are hands down the most trustworthy guys you could have working on your car, they actually care and it shows. I finally found a shop I can stick with, and I won’t be taking my car anywhere else from now on. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a solid, reliable garage.

If I could give 0 stars I would. Scratched my car, tried to buff it out (you can see the streaks), and lied about it. Also said there’s no access to the cameras. Complete and scammers. Please don’t bring your car here by any means. It was only here for an inspection sticker and oil change.
