I had my car serviced at Precision Motor Works. It was easy to schedule my appointment. I did it over text. I dropped my Lexus LC off at the scheduled time. I received an estimate of the cost, which was reasonable. I left the car and a few hours later received a text that it was done. I popped in and paid the bill, which was the same as the estimate. I had a friendly conversation with some of the team and drove off. This was much easier and 1000% more friendly than the Lexus dealership. If you are in the Marblehead area, I would highly recommend Precision Motor Works for service as well as repair.

We brought our Jeep Compass in for an issue with the wheel bearings. That issue was competently fixed. However, when we picked up our car, there was an ignition delay, our key fobs no longer worked and the "you've left your lights on" alarm sounded when the lights were not on. Multiple dash lights were also flashing on and off for no reason. When I texted them later that day, there was no response. I went in personally the day after and explained the situation. They explained that one of their technicians noticed a blown fuse and tried to replace it, but that fuse also blew "badly" (their word, not mine). That was the cause of all these new issues. So they knew about it, but did not tell us when we picked up the car. They explained the part that would need to be replaced (again, why did no one mention this when we first retrieved our car?) and they'd see if they could find it. Two days later, I texted them for an update. I was contacted later to be told they'd found a part and it would cost...$800 for parts and labor to replace it. $800 for a problem both they and I agree happened while the car was under their care. When pressed, they said the problem already existed and the technician blowing the new fuse just revealed it. Well, we didn't have the problem before we brought the car in. We did have it when we got it back. Now our car is unbearable to drive, alarms going off and lights flashing. I spent many years in the contracting world doing repairs on houses. Sometimes, rarely, the work I did created a new problem or made an old problem worse unintentionally. Do you know what I did? I fixed it for free. The problem didn't exist before, but it does exist now. I took responsibility for that whether it was my fault or not because it was under the time of my care. And the most confusing part is why none of this was discussed when we picked up the car? If they had just contacted us and said "We found an underlying problem, do you want us to fix it" we wouldn't be in this situation and I wouldn't be writing this review. The biggest grievance is we feel this was hidden from us, somehow hoping we wouldn't notice. We will not be doing business with them again and we will seek another mechanic to fix the problem exacerbated by Precision. I am giving two stars because they did competently fix the original wheel bearing problem.

Precision repaired my flat tire and fixed a non aligned door. Reasonable price, quick work. Love them! Would have cost double at least at the dealer and been less convenient. Great mechanics and office staff. Convenient location for me.

Precision Motor Werks is reliable and honest. I've had about 4 vehicles serviced here over 12 years and the team is friendly and prompt with all replies. The service is always done accurately and quickly, I highly recommend!

How convenient can you get? I drove to the garage and was driven home while they worked on my Prius. I requested a simple oil change and a tire-check. "Could you also clean my floor mats?" (all that snow and slush) Sure. A few hours later I got a call and was picked up in my clean, well-running car. How much more could you ask? My friendly mechanic picked me up and drove us back to the garage. I paid and drove home, quite happy.
