The tech failed my car a second time for a marker light bulb without telling me that by declining them fixing the bulb for $25 I would be using up my free re-test and it would cost me a brand new $35. I paid more in state fees than the actual bulb fix would have cost due to a total lack of transparency.

They found a replacement bulb, made the change, charged me a very reasonable fee and then I could continue on my way safely to go on with my day. Thank you very much guys!

Then I get to the register, and the lady says, “it’s a $5 minimum to pay with a card”. I proceeded to say that is illegal. I am paying with a debit card. She goes, did you read the sign? I’m like yea and did you read the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act of 2010? Because I have. And it states that, businesses can charge up to a minimum of $10 when using a credit card powered by Visa, American Express, Discover or Mastercard. I repeat, WHEN YOU USE A CREDIT CARD. Now, if you are using a DEBIT CARD, then it is illegal to have a $5 minimum purchase requirement. The other kid asked did you already put gas? And I’m like that doesn’t matter if I did or not. The point is that you guys are trying to illegally make me spend $5 extra dollars when I’m using a DEBIT CARD. You people are sick. And I am returning tomorrow to buy another water and if that sign is still there, I will proceed with legal action.
