Lawrence Automotive Diagnostics

While traveling from AK to VA we discovered a crack in our radiator. Even though we could have limped along, with 3 small kids, 2 dogs, and the summer heat we didn't want to risk it. We randomly started searching for auto shops that could get us in and stumbled across Lawrence Auto. We ended up having to camp an extra night to get in but it was absolutely worth it. Every single member of their staff was beyond professional and courteous. We were able to leave our dogs kenneled in the bed with their fans and there were plenty of shops within walking distance. They truly helped us out!

I’ve gone to Lawrence Automotive Diagnostics for about a year now. I bought a car, and the previous owners had taken the vehicle here its entire life! To say the least, I am not disappointed. They’ve always been polite on the phone as well as in person. Recently, I had an emergency and that got me in with no time to waste. In addition to doing the emergency work, they also performed my scheduled maintenance. They are a great team with friendly staff, and do good work! As long as I live in Lawrence, I will take my car here.

Great service! I came in last October for a pre-purchase inspection on a 2014 Honda Civic I had just bought. Inspection was done in a few hours, cost a couple hundred dollars. Very detailed report. One particular thing: The mechanic noted that the exhaust "sounded a bit louder than usual." I asked if they could take a closer look, so they hoisted the car up and showed me that one of the gaskets near the exhaust had gotten worn down. So I take the car back to the dealer for repairs, and they found that the issue was a loose engine mount, which could have gotten much worse. They replaced it under warranty (no cost to me!) and I avoided a huge headache down the the road. I have no idea how the Lawrence Automotive Diagnostics people found that out just from the exhaust volume, but I'm not complaining! Also, I never felt pressured or hassled during their service, and their staff were very kind, which is important because I look visibly confused around cars so it is probably easy to take advantage of me. Would definitely recommend!

Excellent work and professionalism. They didn’t tries to buckle and dime me on unnecessary expenses. I would gladly use them again and highly recommend them.

My husband and I were on our 20th anniversary road trip when our car started overheating. We called Lawrence Automotive Diagnostics, explained our situation (heading home to Pittsburgh, PA), and they said they were able to check out the vehicle. We had it towed there and the mechanics diagnosed it immediately. Not only did the car have a cracked radiator, it was showing other issues on the diagnostic test which could be an additional catastrophic issue. They could have easily had us pay for a new radiator ($$$) and then told us about the additional issues, but they were up front with everything. They were extremely accommodating to us when we were deciding what to do with our car and how we were going to get back home. Ultimately, we ended up selling the car and purchasing a new one at a nearby dealership. The labor costs they charged us were more than fair and less expensive than we were expecting. While we don't live anywhere near Kansas, I cannot recommend this shop enough. My husband and I were stranded in an unfamiliar city/state and could have easily been taken advantage of. Instead, they were friendly, quick, forthcoming, and provided us with practical solutions for our problem. We cannot thank them enough.
