Justin was a phenomenal service advisor! Quick check-in and check-out. We connected on having the same car and addressed all the questions I had. I have brought in my Jetta in the this year twice and there was nothing but phenomenal service. As soon as my car was done being serviced, he had messaged me and got me a Lyft to pick up my car right away. Thank you guys so much!

We had our 2023 VW Atlas service this past week. The experience with service tech, Justin & Mitch was excellent. Justin focused on our issue we were having with our taillight assembly. He ordered the recommended part & they will install the new part next week. Justin was very focused on our experience with Tom Wood VW Service as well as VW the manufacturer. The service team at this location is excellent. We had a great experience with Justin, Mitch, and the Manager, Nick. Justin led the service experience, but our friendly interaction with Mitch & Nick added to our positive experience. It was a warranty service job, so the costs were on VW. I dropped off the 2010 Passat on May 19,2026 for an inspection and diagnostic. I was finally contacted on May 22 and told they had not gotten to the vehicle yet and would soon. Once it was finally in the bay, the following was found. 1. Immunized Active warning was intermittently appearing. This was originally what I needed sorted out. However the Service writer neglected to tell the technician this until the day I was to pick it up 10 days after dropping it off. 2. Water was leaking to driver side footwell. Technician finally figured out how to repair it. When I picked up the car, the footwell was still full of water. I advised the service writer and he told me they don’t remove the water because they don’t have a shop vac to remove the water and that I need to put a dehumidifier in the vehicle. Once I got home, I used my shop vac and vacuumed out almost 2 gallons of water. 3. Oil leaking from Upper Timing cover. Replaced 4. Drive belt was worn out and oil from upper timing cover was leaking down. Replaced 5. Secondary Air injection code due to hole in tube and oil in the connector. Replaced 6. The wrong coolant was in the system and had to be removed and replaced with proper fluid. Replaced 7. Valve cover gasket needs to be replaced because the gasket was incorrect. 8. Brake fluid needs to be replaced 9. Stabilizer links need replacing. The technician was finally able to verify the Immobilizer Active issue. I was informed that I would need a new key and ignition ring. However I was not informed on how that conclusion was reached. Just given a $1200 estimate. Based on research, the issue is most likely the transponder inside the key. I felt as though this was a guess and they were looking to make more money. My biggest issue was that it took 10 days to get the vehicle back. When I inquired about a loaner, I was told there were none available. This happened 2-3x. If you know that the customers car is going to be in the shop for an extended time, and you provide loaners, why would you not make sure to have one available? I was quite enthusiastic about taking it to the dealership only to be disappointed. I not even sure I want to go back for a key because it may take weeks to even get the key. I was told that they don’t keep parts on hand and have to order them and wait. This is something that customers should be told. The issue with the water was frustrating. If you tech was using water to find the cause, then why not remove the water that he put in while testing? I ended up paying over $2000 and left feeling gut punched because of the water in the footwell and the last minute diagnosis of the Immobilizer Active issue. You’d think they would have done something to make me feel that I was important as a customer but instead Mitchell was snarky and uncaring about resolving the water issue. I still wasn’t told how they figured out the entire ignition and key needed replacement. ***UPDATE*** I received a call from Nick at Tom Wood the next day to discuss the issues that I had and how to resolve them. Nick exhibited exceptional customer service relations and together we came to a compromise and I set an appointment to return. On Monday June 8th, 2026, I arrived at the dealership at 8:00am. I was greeted by Nick himself and we went over the resolution. Nick went above and beyond to resolve this and explained the process and what I can do in the future should any issue arise with the new key fob. The key was properly programmed by Kyle and works. He did explain that due to the age and the wear on the ignition slot, replacing the ignition itself may come up in the future. Mitchell also did a great job with explaining everything as well as provided me with a free car wash which was needed. I've updated my review because not only did Nick reach out to me but he was also considerate and caring about my issue. Thank you to everyone involved in this process and I hope to do business in the future if needed.
