I would not recommend Universal Auto Repair. I paid $120 for a diagnostic, and they told me that all six of my VVT solenoids needed to be replaced at about $150 each. Based on their diagnosis, I spent around $800 on parts and another $400 on labor to have them replaced—only to find out that wasn't even the problem. To make matters worse, I wasn't even given a copy of the diagnostic report that I paid for, so I had nothing to reference afterward. Between the cost of the diagnosis, unnecessary parts, and labor, I ended up spending well over $1,300 without fixing the actual issue. I expected a professional and accurate diagnosis before making such an expensive recommendation. Unfortunately, this experience cost me a lot of time and money. I will not be returning, and I cannot recommend this shop to others based on my experience.

Used a lot of mechanics in my lifetime use their services three times in the last 3 months including struts, shocks, control arms. Price is very competitive and the work is skillful. I highly recommend them.

I highly recommend them. I took my car in for new brakes and rotors. They were kind and explained everything to me and even stayed way late after closing to do the work to make sure I had my vehicle same day so that I could have my car for work. They do excellent quality worker. And wonderful customer service. I even sent my grown children there with their vehicle. I highly recommend this place.

The worst experience possible: ample ego and minimal professionalism. The alleged owner (post prepubesant boy) is rude and crook. Tried to charge 1400 for 3 hour fuel pump job. And the fuel pump is located under the seat in my vehicle, easy as it gets. The next shop quoted me 550 for the same job. You have a little boy pretending to be a good business man with daddies money. Dont waste your time or money. And, he tried to charge tax on a service charge fee..and thats not even legal in Indiana.

Reasonable prices and incredibly nice people! They walked me through everything they were going to do to fix my compressor, and they even showed me another problem in my car that would’ve become a huge problem had they not found it for me.
