Well this can be interesting. I called Jasper Engine's and I thought I was phoning somebody in Kent, Washington. This in turn turned out to be a company also named Jasper Engine's in Indiana. Trying to find a crate engine for a 1997 Honda CRV. I've been through most of the bigger companies in Canada since that's where I'm from. But I found the gentleman I talked to on the phone from Jasper engine to be very courteous, professional and helpful. This engine probably strikes up there on the rarest engine in the world. Canada for some stupid reason are liberal government has decided that all vehicles older than 20 years old should be scrapped and everybody should go buy new ones. That'd be good if you make lots of money which I don't. Safe day thanks for being there, bye.

Phenomenal service. I was never aware that a transmission could be dyno tested before being sold. This service is what sold us on a rebuilt transmission. I normally have a close family member help with rebuilding, however it would of took an extra week to do so. This company had one on the shelf ready to shop/pickup. It made more sense economically to be able to keep towing and not have an extra week down time…. so we sent a driver down to pick it up, and had it installed the next day. WOW shifts perfect. I can actually get up and go, and it makes towing cars much more efficient. Thank you all and thank especially Karla.
View on GoogleI highly recommend Jasper Engines and Transmissions. I purchased an engine for my 2005 Dodge Ram 1500 in late fall 2022. I had gotten 550k miles on my original motor (believe it or not gas not diesel), and it still ran great, but it was burning oil. After searching on multiple website for engines, I decided to go with Jasper as I had seen their trucks around the Indianapolis area for years. At roughly 38k miles my Jasper engine, while still running great, had an oil leak. After testing, it was determined one of the cylinders had lost compression. Jasper supplied a 2nd engine at no charge, and paid the agreed labor rate to replace it. Mechanical incidents happen, an engine has a lot of moving parts. My most important take-away from the situation is Jasper stands behind their warranty. I've recommended Jasper to all of my friends, and I will be buying from them in the future. With the cost of vehicles anymore, it makes sense to me to hang on to them as long as possible. My truck drives as good as new. I still have my first vehicle (1990 Ford Ranger) in the barn, if I ever get to it I'm going to put a Jasper engine and transmission it in.

View on GoogleThey used to be a great company, but their labor warranty has been very poor. I am a shop that got stuck warranting an engine for them and we have been waiting over 6 weeks to get paid. What a joke! They have lost a 20+ year customer.
