I had a very disappointing experience with J Perez Auto Repair. I initially brought my 2007 Honda Accord after getting an EVAP code. I was told the issue was the purge valve, and they went ahead and replaced it. Not only did that NOT fix the issue, but I later found out the part installed was an aftermarket purge valve that appears to be faulty. After the repair, my car is actually in worse condition, I went from having one code to now dealing with multiple codes and ongoing starting issues. The most frustrating part was the lack of accountability. When I called to speak with the manager, he initially answered, recognized who I was, then hung up on me. When I called back, I was told they weren’t open yet, even though he had already answered the phone. That’s completely unprofessional. At this point, I’m having to take my car to another shop and potentially spend another $300–$600 to fix something that should have been diagnosed correctly the first time.

I’ve been coming to J Perez now for over about two years. The experience that I’ve had here has been fantastic. They’re friendly. They’re nice and they do fantastic work on all type of vehicles. I recommend everybody to come on out. Thank you.
View on GoogleI had a terrible experience with this shop. I was told my car’s AC needed a new compressor. They claimed to install a rebuilt compressor and charged me $400 for the part and another $400 for labor — a total of $800. When I came to pick up the car, the AC was still not blowing cold air, just slightly cooler than before. When I asked for clarification, the mechanic took my car key, locked himself in his office, and refused to speak with me. I was left waiting outside in 95°F heat for over an hour with no explanation. Eventually, he came out, handed me the key, and made me pay the full amount — even though the issue wasn’t fixed. This was an awful and unprofessional experience. Please be cautious and think twice before trusting this place with your vehicle.

View on GoogleI rarely leave a bad review, but the lack of integrity this guy showed leaves me compelled. Paid $850 to have my transmission fixed. He said it's expensive because he has to take it apart and repair. I told him I thought it was something else much easier and less expensive to fix and I bought the part. But I'm not a mechanic so I trusted him. After I got it back it lasted two days before transmission fluid started pouring out of my truck. I brought it back to him. And he said this time it's something different. He said the problem is inside the transmission and the reason its so expensive to fix is because he has to take apart and repair inside. (THE SAME THING, SAME PROBLEM HE POINTED OUT TO ME DAYS BEFORE) I asked him what he repaired a few days ago and he pointed to the part I thought was the problem originally. No return money. No explanation. Just said he's going to take a look at it. He then told me a couple days later i need a new transmission and he doesn't know where to get one. Bad business!!!
