*A VERY HOSTILE EMPLOYEE * I’m going to assume buddy was having a bad day. I dropped my car off first thing in the morning at 9:15am. I talked to a gentleman about what was going on with my car. I told him it was parked behind the building. He said ok, I gave him my key, and he said he would let me know something by the end of the day. He was watching two small children in the lobby and said he had to leave to take care of them. Fair, I’m a mom, and I get it. I didn’t get a call or text all day, so I called the next morning. The call didn’t go through 2 times, I checked the number and hours to make sure it was right. They were. I called again and someone answered “Denton Auto”. I told him who I was and what car I had. The man replies “Well you parked it in the wrong place! That’s not our lot!” I said “Oh, my bad, I told the guy where I parked it before I handed him my key…” Gentlemen then cuts me off and says “ Well it was parked in the wrong spot and we haven’t looked at it” I said “I would have moved it if the guy would have told me too, I had no idea. I just don’t want you guys to put that on me. “ Gentleman cuts me off again “I’m not putting it on anybody” I said “ could you tell me the guys name that was there yesterday “ He says “Nope!” I said “ That’s odd, you don’t know the names of the people you work with?” He says “Nope! “ I said, “Ok, may I have your name?” Because at this point I don’t know who I’m talking to, and since the coworkers don’t know each other, it would probably be wise to know who you spoke to. He goes “Just come get your car! We don’t have time to argue! We’re really busy, just come get your car!” I was shocked. Because I didn’t even realize we were having an arguement. Granted, he sounded irritated when he initially picked up the phone. I called the family member that referred me to them, told them what happened. That family member calls the shop, then calls me back and said they’ll look at my vehicle if I apologize to him. My mouth hit the floor! Apologize? I’ve never in my life experienced a business talk to a potential client like that. I’m the one that needs an apology. I was simply asking questions. I didn’t raise my voice, my tone was professional because I’m at work having this conversation, and I didn’t disrespect him. I just wanted to know what was going on, after not hearing from them for 24 hours. I’m still shocked. As someone who’s been working in a professional capacity in sales and customer for over 20 years, rule number 1 is the customer is always right. I’ve never asked a customer to apologize even if what they did was “wrong”. It was a very strange interaction and is the worst case of customer service I’ve ever experienced. Again, I’m going to assume buddy was having a bad day, and lacks accountability on a professional level. If you look at all the 1 star reviews, they’re very defensive, just like our phone call today. I’d rather drink the Atlantic Ocean with a tablespoon before I apologize from that interaction. You can’t treat me bad AND have my money. So if you decide to get your car fixed at this place, dont ask for anyone’s name. They don’t seem to like that.

If I could rate this place 0 stars I would… this place is unprofessional they had my mother in tears because we didn’t understand the breakdown of pricing Repeat did not understand pricing and the fact that he had to repeat he had to repeat himself was irritating. for him (Terry). However they did do a good job on the body work. But they did not plug my fan back up this has led to a domino effect of issues to possible engine failure after paying out $1800. I do not recommend this place I am a single mother of 3 and now may be out of a car and money due to their negligence. I advise not to choose this place if you are a woman by yourself as they only care bout the money.

Terrible customer service…. Failed to properly diagnose a vehicles repairs after customer was very clear. They notified us the car was ready, and when I arrived, the rear passenger tire will still crooked in an unsafe manner. When I followed back up today, the owner blamed me for not telling him what to repair But yet they repaired other items that were not even discussed. He was full of excuses and upset with the customer, even though it was his job to fix the car. Absolutely horrible customer service and businesses like this should not be open to the public. I highly recommend you avoid the shop at all cost.

Highly recommend Denton’s if you need a new starter! I was in Indianapolis for the weekend and my truck wouldn’t start, ended up being the starter. Called Denton’s and spoke with the owner Terry. He was able to get my truck in and fixed same day. Jason was the gentleman that helped with the starter on my truck, genuine guy. All of the guys at Denton’s Auto Repair are genuine guys highly recommend!! Thank you again for getting my truck fixed, I truly appreciate it.

Hard working shop here that do their best to get you in ASAP. I highly appreciate Dentons and will be back!
