Misdiagnosis, Poor Inspection, and No Accountability This was our first visit to Breedlove’s Automotive, and unfortunately it was a very disappointing experience. We brought our vehicle in because it was smelling strongly of burning and producing smoke, which we clearly communicated. We were told the shop performed a full vehicle inspection and that the issue was the blower motor. Based on their diagnosis, we authorized the repair and were charged $255. After the repair, the problem was not resolved. It was later determined that the alternator was failing, which was the actual cause of the burning smell and smoke. This is a significant issue that should have been identified during any competent “full inspection,” especially given the symptoms we described. When we contacted the shop to address the incorrect diagnosis, we were told that it was not their responsibility, and no accountability was taken for replacing a part that did not address the problem. We essentially paid for a repair that was unnecessary and ineffective, while a major mechanical failure was completely overlooked. At best, this reflects serious diagnostic negligence. At worst, it raises concerns about charging customers for repairs without accurately identifying the root cause of the issue. Either way, it resulted in wasted money, wasted time, and loss of trust. Based on our experience, I would not recommend Breedlove’s Automotive to anyone looking for thorough inspections or reliable diagnostics.

Breedlove has worked on my car a couple of times and both times the work was done fast and they did not try to break my bank. I really appreciate their work and effort.

Sam (I believe that’s the owner’s name) was extremely knowledgeable, honest, and easy to talk to. Austin, the technician who worked on my car, did a fantastic job. Overall, I’m really pleased with the service and would definitely come here again. Highly recommend!
