Great service with helpful people. Was just driving though Indiana and my truck broken down at night not far away. Got the truck to their shop and wanted until they opened. They listened to my story and immediately made me a priority. Diagnosing the problem and telling me why it most likely happened. And because they understood I was in a bind they didn't charge for the services. And even helped loading the truck with the transporter the next day.

Gonna try to keep this short. Took my truck jn for the transmission slipping. Got the truck back 3 days later AJ’s said the transmission was rebuilt cost me $5,200. Leave the shop and instantly there’s still slipping around 40 mph. Call the shop they tell me to drive it for a while. End up taking the truck back they keep it for a week and tell me there’s nothing wrong. I get the truck back start driving it and start recording it every time it slips. Take the truck back and they keep it for 2 weeks for warranty work. I go to pick the truck up after being told it’s ready again and I’m charged $1,200 and I leave and the transmission is still doing the same thing. Drive the truck as they as they tell me too and still slipping. Take the truck back yet again and they have it for two more weeks remember I’m paying for a rental this whole time they have my truck. Get the truck back after they said they replaced the valve body to the transmission and guess what it’s still slipping. Not once did they pull the transmission to see if maybe something was done incorrectly when being rebuilt. The rebuilt the transmission in under 3 days and spent 5 weeks with it for warranty work and cost me almost 10k. Check engine light was in when I picked up the truck last which I’m gonna take to a different shop to resolve after all the issues here

Never again! Do not trust them!

Definitely not a frequent review posting person here submitting this (and if I do it is generally because someone did something great that I wanted to recognize), but a very frustrated client today. Over the years, I have probably spent $15,000 - $20,000 taking vehicles to this provider and recently had an issue with an employee's truck. Three weeks ago, he was hearing something and said he had a problem with the back end. I told him to take it to AJ's and let them diagnose. They looked at the back end, said they saw nothing... then said the problem was in another place. We paid $1,077 for those repairs and then went on with our lives. Last week, low and behold the rear end broke while driving. The same problem we asked them to look at 3 weeks ago. They then asked for $2,500 - $3,000 to rebuild the core to fix the problem. Two issues with this for others to be aware of. First, that's $500 to $1,000 more than competitors, which is just an awareness issue. Second, they charged $157.00 to "diagnose" the same problem we brought to them 3 weeks ago that we already paid $1,077 to fix something else. You might look at this review and think I'm crazy, but I simply cannot imagine charging a diagnosing fee for something a client brought to me 3 weeks before and we accidentally missed. I told the manager I wasn't mad about the $1,077 as we gave our approval to fix what they saw (assuming they were the experts, right?)... but I was furious about the $157.00 diagnosing fee after going through that process only 3 weeks ago. I own a business and would NEVER think to do that. The manager said how did he know we didn't go destroy the core on purpose in the 3 weeks we had the vehicle back? Consider this an awareness post. Our experience in the last month was not good. I'm not saying they are terrible, but I certainly can't trust them anymore. And to be clear, my frustration and the source of taking the time to type this is only about the diagnostic fee. I don't think they ignored our comments and misdiagnosed the problem 3 weeks ago on purpose, but I did tell the manager when I was in there that I was bothered by the diagnostic fee, so much so that I gave him a choice. I said I have my credit card right here and if you want that $157, take my card and charge it, but know I am going to go back to my office and let the world know how you do business. Or, you can waive that fee as you should and we will take the truck elsewhere and it is what it is. He chose to take the card and hit it for the $157.00. Do what you will with that in your decision making process for your vehicle.
