Joe's Auto Service - Carmel

Joes was great. They did a free inspection and took photos of my vehicle then called me back with an explanation of all the issues (i was aware there were plenty of issues beforehand). The initial quote was reasonable but on the higher side than what i wanted to spend. But i really liked their customer service and felt that they cared. I shopped around and found a better price but gave Joe’s a call back to see if they would match it. They came back with a better price and got the work done in a couple of hours. I was very satisfied with the work, the price, and the service. They could have easily told me to just go with the other shop but they didn’t and i appreciate that. I will be bringing my cars back here for service in the future. Thank you.

I had one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had with a repair shop at Joes Auto Service in Carmel. I originally went in for something simple — new brakes — and somehow left with over $3,300 worth of “necessary” repairs they claimed my car needed immediately. After spending all that money, I was told when picking up the car that the check engine light would “go away after about 50 miles.” That alone should have been a red flag. Two days later, I found out many of the repairs were either done incorrectly or not fixed properly at all. Then, during rush hour on N Meridian, my car completely ran out of oil because of their poor workmanship. It left me stranded and could have caused serious engine damage. When I called the shop, they told me they would submit everything to their warranty center so I could be reimbursed for the damages and repairs caused by their mistakes. I waited THREE WEEKS only to be told later that they “never said that.” To make matters worse, I have reached out to regional management twice and have received absolutely no response. The entire experience was dishonest, unprofessional, and stressful from start to finish. I trusted them with my vehicle and paid thousands of dollars, only to end up in a worse situation than when I walked in. I’m posting this to warn other people: be extremely careful before taking your car to Joes Auto Service in Carmel. I would never recommend this shop to anyone.

I have nothing but good things to say about this shop! I dropped my car off for an oil change and tire rotation a little before 1 PM on a Friday and it was ready within an hour. I was able to make an appointment online and communicate with the shop through text message. Zack was courteous and very respectful of me as a person and of my time. He and the techs did not try to talk me into any unnecessary repairs. I will not hesitate to return!

The service manager was easy to work with and very helpful. We were able to drop our vehicle off before leaving town and it was ready and waiting when we returned. We had a very positive experience and would use Joe’s again.

This is the Noblesville location I had this experience with. NEVER AGAIN! Last Monday, December 29th 2025, I dropped my van off with the GM to take a look at my engine motor mounts to be replaced. He called me that afternoon and told me the three motor mounts needed to be replaced, which is what I expected. He quoted me $1498 and said that I needed to pay a deposit for the parts. I gave him my credit card to charge for the parts. He told me the parts would be in the next day, Tuesday, and I could pick my van up the next day on Wednesday the 31. Wednesday came and I never heard anything. Thursday was New Years so I expected to hear something on Friday. Friday went by and I never heard anything so I called at 4:30pm. The GM said that it would be done by 2pm on the following Monday. I heard nothing on this past Monday, yesterday the 5th. I also checked my credit card balance and I noticed the GM charged my credit card on the previous Monday, the 29th, the full amount of $1498, not just a deposit for the parts! I stopped by the Noblesville shop to pick up my van at 11:30am today, Tuesday January 6th and the GM now tells me that it’s not done. It seems someone didn’t come in so my van never got done. He then tells me he will get it done this afternoon. I also asked him about charging my credit card the full amount of $1498 and not just a deposit for parts, and he said he “mistakenly spoke about a parts deposit” and then said that’s it’s store policy to charge the full amount before service. Is that true? You charge customers the full repair cost before service? I have never heard of that before? I call BS on the GM! Never once, did this GM ever call me to let me know what was going on for more than a week!!!!! I'm warning you now. Bring your car to this store at your own risk!!! NEVER AGAIN!!
