I want to be honest, I was skeptical at first because I had been burned by a shop in Indianapolis about a year ago that replaced parts I did not need and charged me for work they never actually did. A coworker kept telling me to try Carmel Auto Repair so I finally gave it a shot when my 2015 Subaru Legacy started pulling hard to the right and I noticed some vibration in the steering wheel at highway speeds. Daniel took down all my concerns when I arrived and did not rush me. Serg and Ahmad did a thorough inspection and came back with a clear picture. One front tire had significant uneven wear from an alignment that had been off for a while, one wheel bearing on the front left was showing early signs of wear, and the tire rod end on that same side had some play in it. They walked me through each item, showed me the play in the tie rod by hand so I could see it myself, and gave me the option to prioritize. I did the tie rod end and wheel bearing that day since those were the safety items and scheduled the tires for the following week. Both visits went exactly as described. No surprises, no extra charges, no phantom repairs. Eugene stopped by during my second visit just to check in and make sure everything had been handled to my satisfaction. That kind of accountability from management means a lot. This shop has completely restored my confidence in taking my car somewhere. They have a customer for life.

Absolutely amazing experience. Aaron was incredibly kind, explained what needed to be done to fix my car including parts and labor, and the shop was able to get my repair done in less than 24 hours for prices lower than I had been quoted from other shops in the area. I’ve previously been overcharged and upsold at shops in north indy so Carmel Auto Repair was a breath of fresh air. Will be returning for any and all maintenance work on my car and have already recommended the shop to friends.
View on GoogleThis place is literally the worst. Don’t bother calling, they won’t answer. Don’t bother leaving a voicemail, they won’t return it. They held our car hostage for a solid week with no updates or answers even after blowing them up for days to get some semblance of a response. They have no support staff and no professionalism, period. I’m standing in their lobby waiting for my keys back and literally just listening to the phone ring off the work with a line of people waiting. Never coming back. We came here because we purchased this car less than a year ago from Carmel Auto Gallery and now the transmission is having issues. They recommended this place since it’s partnered and we purchased their warranty. Not only do I regret the purchase, I regret this entire experience.

I only had a 2.5 hr window on my calendar and they hustled to diagnose, get parts and change the brake pads and front rotors in under 2 hrs. The waiting area was very modern and comfy with drinks and snacks, conducive to get work done while waiting. They were efficient, competent and friendly. My car breaks well now, I'm super happy.
