Paid 6,200.00 to Lima in 2022. The work on my car never got done. Strung me along for years. I took them to court in 2025, and won the case. Had to file for another court case for failure to pay and release of my vehicle. They still haven't started the payment plan they set up or put the engine back in for release of my car. No phone communication and won't respond to txt messages. No integrity. It's sad because up until my audi we did good business. Another court date is set for 9/24/2025 if they continue to not pay, hopefully they'll be men of their word and it won't come to that. Sad, sad, sad,... Sept 24th 2025 Ernesto Lima did not show in court. Its disappointing but I trust the process. Nothing good will come from the deceit and the disgusting business practices. I would stear clear of L&R Mechanic & Body Shop. You will save yourself time and court costs in the long run.

One of the best shops I’ve been to did a ls swap on my truck from a 6 cylinder to a v8 ls with high performance parts in less than a month was very satisfied with the work they did and how they take care of there customers would recommend this place
View on GoogleTook my Chevy Obs to them to have the motor and transmission rebuilt, they took weeks to even get it done, once they returned the truck to me, the transmission was still shifting super bad and Shook the whole truck, I gave them the truck back to so they could fix it again, took weeks again to return it to me, and was still not fixed at all, and The cycle kept repeating, and the transmission was never fixed, They just kept putting trash transmission in it. These guys don't care about their work at all and just scam people, there only good reviews are the owner and his son. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE PEOPLE! NO HAGAN JALES CON ESTA GENTE

I called they said the city towed my car, called different tow companies around Indianapolis, the mayor office, (I was told to check for zoning issues that they mightve had) and sheriffs department, everyone said there's no record of my car being towed. Found out they stole my car and skipped town!
View on GoogleOur car died and had to have it towed. This place was the closest. They said they would look at it that morning. I didn't hear from them, nor could I get in contact with them myself, for 5 days! Not a single update in that time, and they didn't answer the phone or respond to texts. When they did finally get back, it was just a fuel pump. But they replaced it with an equally bad part, because now we are stuck in the exact same problem as before just a couple weeks later (but down almost $1k.)
