Sam's Club Tire & Battery

We purchased a set of four tires priced -158.99 each from Sam’s Club in Vernon Hills, expecting that the advertised warranty (5 years or 65000 miles) and/or prorated replacement policy would be honored in the event of premature wear. However, despite the tires wearing down to approximately 2/32–3/32 tread depth and still being within the warranty period (under 3 years and approximately 30,000 miles), I was declined a tire rotation and have not received a clear resolution or a fair prorated adjustment. I have attempted to resolve this matter through customer service and local store representatives, but the issue remains unresolved. I am particularly concerned about the lack of communication and the failure to apply the expected prorated credit based on the remaining tread life. For reference: •   Tire condition: I was informed at the store that the tires were worn to 2/32 tread; however, the actual measurements were approximately 3/32 in the front and 4/32 in the rear. (Actual verified tire treat) I was denied a tire rotation service based on measurements that I believe were inaccurate and do not reflect the actual tread depth of my tires. Based on standard tire warranty practices, I believe I am entitled to a prorated credit toward replacement tires. I respectfully request: 1. Proper application of the prorated warranty adjustment 2. Great service Friendly people. Good selection of tires. They do tire rotations as well. New tires and they come with tires lifetime roadside assistance And the tires themselves, also have a warranty by the manufacturer.

It was a great experience with such an honest professional Mr Danial, I was in a big trouble when I went to the store and my expectation was I will buy a new tire for the one I had a problem with but this gentleman examined and fixed it for free. I had a very frustrating experience with Sam’s Club’s tire service, and I wanted to share my concerns. I purchased tires for my BMW X5 and scheduled an installation appointment at the Sam’s Club Gurnee location. When I arrived for my appointment, the tire center staff took one look at my vehicle and informed me that they couldn’t install the tires on my car. I was offered two options: a refund or to take the tires and have them installed at the Vernon Hills location instead. I called the Vernon Hills tire center, but no one answered the phone—it was routed to a central call center. The call center representative assured me that I could walk in without an appointment and that the Vernon Hills location would take care of the installation. I was told I could drop the car off and pick it up later. I drove to Vernon Hills and arrived around 10:30 AM. When I got there, I saw three employees in the tire center standing around and talking. There were no cars being worked on. I explained my situation and asked if they could take my car in as a walk-in. Initially, they refused. I had to press them and mention what I was told by the call center before they reluctantly agreed to take the car. While waiting for my wife to pick me up, I noticed they had already started working on my car—even though earlier they claimed they couldn’t take it. Since they had started the work, I asked one of the staff members how long it would take to complete the tire change. He responded that he had no idea and couldn't give me an estimate. Because of this, I decided to leave and planned to return later in the evening to pick up the car, hoping it would be done by then. This whole experience was extremely disappointing. The lack of professionalism, poor communication, and unwillingness to help customers were unacceptable. It gave me the impression that some of the staff just didn’t want to work and were there to collect a paycheck without putting in the effort. It’s very disheartening to encounter this kind of service. I hope Sam’s Club takes steps to improve customer service and employee training at these locations.

I bought new tires from this location around Thanksgiving. I was told to order the tires, I had to purchase them now and they would reach out to me by December 6th to install. Today is December 23rd and I still have not heard a peep. Even worse, I’ve tried calling I’ve the last few weeks and not a soul picks up. They just let the phone ring out. Go to another location. They don’t care.
