Had a phenomenal experience at this location! Kind and helpful reps and super clean. My rep was Sam and he answered all of my questions. I loved that he gave me a breakdown of costs prior to the service as well as other recommendations for my vehicle. They also include those recommendations in a little packet after your service which is helpful to have on hand. Service was quick as well.

No no no no no. I thought I had a bad experience before taking my car to VW of Downtown Chicago, but this place? Absolutely not. I brought the car in to have bolt caps put on the rims, passenger seat lever (to adjust seat) replaced, rear windshield wiper replaced, brakes, and to check coolant. I also have an extended warranty through my Credit Union. They had my car from August 28th, until today September 12th. Ridiculous. Once my final bill was given to me, I noticed that they had racked up a cool $1700+ in labor charges OUTSIDE of what the warranty agreed to pay. Their excuse was that “most dealerships let the warranty company dictate what they are paid, we don’t”. Meaning the CUSTOMER is left on the hook for whatever magical number they come up with as their labor charges for your service. I was not contacted to discuss ANY difference in price. NEVER. I was quoted $690 to replace one set of brakes and rotors, so I opted to only replace the pads. $98 for the brakes and $300 for labor. When I picked the car up after almost 3 weeks…aside from the major mechanical work NOTHING had been done. Had to come back in and let them know. Still don’t have my seat lever replacement due to the technician being “gone for the day” as he always seems to be. Now, I have to wake up in the morning and deal with this yet another day. I love my car, but VW has lost a customer.
