Milex Complete Auto Care Oak Forest

I brought my vehicle to Milex because it would not start. Throughout the process, I was in contact only with the manager, Eric Williams, who told me I would be contacted once they determined the issue. It took approximately one week for Milex to inform me that my vehicle needed a new battery. Three days later, Eric Williams called and told me the battery had been installed and that the total cost would be $600. When I arrived at Milex to retrieve my vehicle, he then informed me the price was actually $900. When I questioned this, he claimed someone else must have quoted the $600 price, even though I had only spoken with him. I explained that I only had $600 and that it was unfair to change the price after the work was completed. He refused to honor the original price and asked what I could pay. I offered $650, but he stated the battery alone cost $489.84 and said he would not give me a battery for free. When my friend, who is knowledgeable about vehicles, arrived and stated we would remove the battery and go elsewhere, Eric Williams then added a diagnostic fee of $164.69 that was not on the original invoice. The next day, I returned and paid the diagnostic fee in full. When we calmly asked about my old battery, Eric Williams stated he had given it to the company he purchased the new battery from. I was never informed of this nor did I authorize disposal of my property. When questioned, he raised his voice, called us “goofys,” falsely claimed we were threatening him, and refused to return my car keys despite payment. Police were called. After removing my vehicle, my new mechanic informed me that a Milex technician removed screws belonging to my car, causing additional damage and repair costs. I am extremely dissatisfied with this service and am considering legal action. This complaint is to document these events and prevent similar treatment of others.

Dishonest technicians! I came to milex to have my struts checked due to the noise the front drivers side was making. I was charged a diagnostic fee to look my car over-again I didn’t ask for any additional services, I asked for my struts to be checked. Rick the technician took my car to the service area of which I watched him the entire time. I questioned the guy at the front desk, what is he pouring in my car? You are adding fluids to my car? I thought I asked for you to look at the STRUTS! The front desk operator told me, oh you must be thinking of an oil change-we don’t top off fluids for a diagnostic, but I’ll ask the technician when he returns the keys. He never bothered to ask him so I did! Rick then explains he was topping off my fluids… Well when the report came back for my diagnostic, all of a sudden I’m told I have a valve leak and it needs to be replaced and cleaned because they don’t know where all the leaking fluids are coming from! STOP THE LIES! Just because my car had almost 300k miles on it you failed to know its garage kept and had been serviced from dealer since 2017! Nissan in orland park has taken care of my car since it was purchased brand new! There is not 1 leak in my garage from oil or any fluids until TODAY! After you lied about topping my fluids, instead you poured by my valve system to appear I had $4k in damage to my car! I was able to retrieve my 21 point inspection from Nissan where there is NO MENTION of anything wrong with my valve or motor system! I was simply checking with you comparing the price of struts and you took advantage of what you THOUGHT was a bad car that only has highway miles and babied as if it was new! GARAGE KEPT! With not 1 drop of any oil or fluids! I am demanding someone follow up with me, I will be perusing this matter with upper management or would like to speak to the owner personally! I have proof of your lies and pictures to show the public your dishonesty!

Milex always takes care of me. Prices are always good, when they recommend service they’ll get a quote on the spot so you know what you’re looking at all priced out, etc. Highly recommended. They’re my “go to my guys” place for a reason!

I'm usually tentative to take my car somewhere new and I'm so glad I found this place. I've had two oil changes here, I recommend them, and I will be returning. They are quick, kind, helpful, and down to earth. I really appreciate them.

I called to see if Milex could replace my motor, I stop by to meet the person I spoke with over the phone and his name was John, My motor was ordered and it was put in at the time he told me.. I was satisfied with the time frame and I would tell anyone about the Service I received, Pleasant and Honest about the price. I appreciate the service and I will be going back to Milex..
