Ray at Menard Automotive has been great to work with. He is very knowledgeable on all the car issues that I have had or dropped off for repair. The mechanics are very thorough and have all done an exceptional job on our trucks and suvs. I highly recommend taking your vehicles to this shop. You won’t be disappointed.
View on GoogleGreat people to do business with, brought my truck in for a suspected timing chain failure and were quick to address the situation and fix the problem. Other issues were found with the truck later on, which they took their own time to make things right and make sure the truck got back to me in amazing condition. Would highly recommend this place to anyone for vehicle service or repairs!
View on GoogleWe’ve had some pretty rough, downright frustrating experiences in the past—like the kind that make you question all your life choices in a waiting room—but after all of that, Menard completely changed my perspective. They proved not all mechanics are out to irritate me or speak in mysterious car riddles. They actually communicate, are honest, and are genuinely easy to work with (which feels rare and deserves a standing ovation). Would absolutely recommend.
View on GoogleI brought our car in for what I was led to believe was a transmission issue. The team at Menard Automotive informed me it was not the transmission, but both the front and back brakes that were seized. They made quick work of replacing said brakes (and calipers) and when one of the calipers proved faulty in the first week, they replaced at no charge without a hassle. Appreciated them standing by their work and parts as they said they would.
View on GoogleI went to two auto mechanics prior to Menards Auto in New Lenox and both said they couldn’t find anything. One said bad gas maybe, the other said sell the car. Sam at Menards, who was referred by a friend, found the issue after driving my CRV Honda which is 5 yrs old. Sam has the reputation for finding the problem, reasonably priced, honest & excellent customer service. I am grateful every day to Sam as I drive my Honda.
