Costco Tire Service Centers suck! If you look across chicagoland, most all of them don't score well. This one is particularly bad. The reviews are fairly consistent: unexplainable wait times, poor customer service/communication and unusual inconvenient policies. The overall rating at the time of this review is 2.9 while nearby, Just Tires = 4.7 and Discount Tires = 4.3. Having been to both of those other shops before, they were routine and reasonable. Our wait time here was excessive, and they didn't complete some of the work which they agreed to when we checked in. A "supervisor," some tall muslim looking guy was not at all helpful. He had a smug and dismissive attitude with no interest in properly addressing the situation. It wasn't just this one guy, the problem seemed systemic: there was no accountability or discipline in the shop. Even though they provide free tire installation, it's better to take your car elsewhere. But if you bring your car here, some recommendations: 1) Don't assume that just because you have an appointment, and it's not busy that you will get quick turnaround; you're likely to wait 2 to 3 hours regardless even for small jobs. 2) Confirm the work being done and get a print out before you leave your car. 3) If you're only getting 2 new tires, you likely have to go somewhere else to get them rotated: they have an unsual impractical tire rotation policy. 4) Wait for them to call you to pick up your car, even if they tell you it's probably only an hour. Otherwise, you're likely to end up waiting in the food court for no good reason. Getting tires done is supposed be a simple routine service, What's up with this place?

Was in a pinch, I reserved at the other location in Schaumburg. But the costco tire center there didnt have my tires. Mt prospect was fully booked for the day but still worked me in. Greatly appreciative to the staff and manager who helped me, thank you!
View on GoogleI think they need to re-evaluate their appointment times and lengths. Originally I had a 45 minute appointment for four new tires. Two hours and 15 minutes later, they were done. Either they were short staffed, not trained, or overbooked. In any of the above cases, they should reset expectations. I’ve been to other Costco locations in the past and usually the 45 minutes holds true. I supposed I should have read the reviews on this place.
View on GoogleAvoid this location. Service is slow to the point of being useless, and even when you make an appointment, it still takes 2+ hours. Trying to talk to someone on the phone is nearly impossible as well. As cheap as Costco tires are, you'll get better service at other places. I have been waiting 2 weeks on a replacement set of minivan tires and they still aren't in yet.
View on GoogleTook 3 hours to do my tires and made a fuss over me arriving at 10:27 when I got a call at 10:05 that my car was ready. Didn’t know I was supposed to teleport to the location. I think his name was Patrick, very unprofessional. The other Costco tire centers are better at different locations! I’d recommend the one in Mettawa, it is definitely worth the drive.
