The people working here are some of the kindest, best mechanics I’ve ever gone to. When I moved to Chicago all alone 4 years ago I came to them when I had to get work done. It would’ve been so easy to upsell or take advantage of my naivety. They have NEVER been anything but transparent, kind, and helpful. Every time I bring my car in they walk me through what’s wrong, the cost, and my options. Everything is done in such a timely manner and the price is always reasonable. I recommend Uptown to all my friends. It’s truly a place where they care about you and your car. I wish I could give it 10 stars!

Chuck the owner is a fantastic fellow, a gem of this neighborhood, here to be of service to the community and has helped countless individuals with their automobile issues. He has helped me initially with my 2007 Dodge Dakota back when I was looking for a CEDA certified mechanic. He diagnosed my 1997 Acura RL transmission issue and now overseeing the repairs to my 1999 Toyota Corolla. Typically it’s always a hit or miss when you try new Auto repair shops… However in this case, Right off the bat- Uptown Garage is an auto shop I highly recommend to everyone in the Chicagoland area!! Chuck and Peter took care of our vehicle after the accident not within a tight budget but also within 5 business days which is unheard off in the Auto repair industry!
