D & B Tire and Auto

Came in for an alignment on my LOWERED CAR, they got me in and out! Had a small issue and came back the next day and they took care of me no questions asked!!! Staff is very respectful from the Cashier/Counter person to all the workers! Will never go to another shop again, D&B is very underrated and can do almost any work on your car that you need. 10/5 ⭐️

ABSOLUTE SCAM WARNING: AVOID THIS SHOP AT ALL COSTS I am writing this to warn every single person considering this place: STAY AWAY. These people are absolute scammers who will look you in the eye and lie to your face with a smile. I paid for FOUR tires. Not only did they refuse to give me my two rear tires, but they also lied about the product. I was told I was buying "all-season" tires, only to find out they were snow tires. When I confronted the owner, he promised a free swap to fix their "mistake." That was a blatant lie. They had the audacity to charge me for the installation on my front tires—which, by the way, already had less than 60% tread life left. I have never dealt with a more dishonest, shameless business in my life. They stole my money and my tires. If you value your time and your bank account, do not step foot in this shop. You have been warned!

If I wrote a review then there's a reason too it. So here goes a few. Too begin I was recommended this place by someone I know- I was told how great they are- honest- work is outstanding. I went in with leaking cooler lines. So they replaced it- within a couple of days my radiator is leaking at the new connectors of the oil cooler lines. So I go back- show it to the same service writer-owner. He trys too prove to me that it's an old truck and old radiator. I tell him they used power tool installing them and that why it cracked at the new fitting in the radiator. Which my radiator was in decent shape for the year and low mileage for yearSo after few moments of calm discussion for a few short moments- which I've explained to him at this point that I do understand how it is to be a tech. I was a certified harley Davidson tech. At master level before I left for different field. So working on carsick no stranger. So I tell him put new radiator in. Come to get it fairly quickly. To my surprise the bill for the radiator and all is almost $1k. So I do some research on this parts and previous ones as well- to come find out they uncharged by 300-400% on each item. Which I got proof. Now I'm not against making some money- but by that much!? WOW!!! So leta continue- within couple of days I see puddles where ever I park- so I thought maybe old puddles running out. But it's getting worse towards weeks end. So now I look where it's leaking- now it's the other side of the radiator connections for cooler lines. As soon you look down the connectors you could see one is cross threaded and sitting crooked. I go back- 2nd week in a row, bring out the same guy-show and prove to him that his techs using power tools fittings. Which any reputable tech knows you start with hand tight and use hand tools and torque too proper value. So I leave the truck again- lose a day and work each time I went there- cause I'm a handyman, so.i needes Y truck and tools. . So this is has been going on for about 3 weeks now if not more. I dont hesr no apologies or anything besides we'll fox it. How about returning my money for the lsrtd that were not needed caidr of their neglegtong mechanics. I spent way over $1k+ close to $1500 by now- if not more. for 97 chevy 1500. Which is in decent shape for year and low mileage and bunch of work done to it..so it's a daily driver and runner, my plan was to restore it. But thi gs change ing life so ive put it up.for sale. So my sun needed some tires balance and mou ted on his car. So I figured since they are just a tire place- and my sone had his own tire- they just had to take it off one rim- and put it on an empty rim- which is a syandard process. And they charged them $40- for 1 tire replace. Pepe boys charge $12.95 or so. Full service. But i figured ill guve thrm another shot atleast for sole tires- their specialty-and they took advantage of two 16 year olds. So what does that tell you?! Beware of them. Go to pepboys. Their tire deals and everything tire related is decent and sometimes even great- and they are best priced tires any place around lake county area atleast the one in round lake- the manager is great. PS- after all those trips with issues and no apologies. Not even a refund of some sort. And I tried giving them the opertunity to make it right each time. I'm a calm and reasonable person. But when you know you are tight for a fact and they want to make a fool out of you even when you've proven yourself each time. Also I was told they give yo7 discount if you pay cash- that's not true either. Even when I mentioned it that this came from few people that make it a crooked circle. Be warned ⚠️ That's the truck. Besides front fenders and one door. It's frame is great and solid and everything else. Still for sale

They’re always very communicative and will let you know what’s happening with your vehicle while they’re working on it, always having a quick turnaround time as well, which I very much appreciate! I’ve had them work on my vehicle multiple times now and yesterday they ended up making my vehicle run smoother than i thought was possible anymore for my over 130k mile 2011 Equinox. Thank you guys!!
