View on GoogleMy experiences at Gurnee Volkswagon have been deplorable. I love my vehicle, but will never purchase from this dealership again. I have had multiple issues from service to management. I am a business owner myself, so I am generally understanding of issues as long as they are corrected with solid customer service. My issues to list a few…my trade in vehicle was NOT paid off for two months after purchasing my new car. I had to call multiple times to get this corrected. Meaning I was having to pay on 2 vehicles even though I only technically owned one. I was told they had forgotten to send the check in. I have had multiple issues with my computer system which they have replaced several times. The last appointment I had,to replace it for the 3rd time, I made arrangements to drop my car off. I was then called that afternoon that the part they had ordered was not the right one. Now I am having to take time out of my schedule to come back in when the right part arrives. This is incompetence…if I tell a customer their product is in, I have multiple levels of quality control to be sure I am ready to go. While some of the service employees have been helpful, they are severely understaffed and are as frustrated as the customers. I have more grievances, but do not feel the need to continue.
View on GoogleTook my Jetta Sport in for its 30k oil change (free) plus multipoint “winterizing” ($11). Dan was very good about keeping in touch with me and answering my questions. I also appreciated his heads up that my rear brakes will probably need replacing in the next few months. Only heartburn was the night-before drop off because it was out of envelopes and the instructions said to drop the key in the Service Door’s mailbox slot, not give it to Sales if the Service Dept is closed. I scrounged up a piece of paper and a hair tie instead, which wasn’t a big deal, but it was annoying after a long day. Overall, happy with service work, very satisfied with the price, and disappointed that night drop didn’t have an ample supply of envelopes and better instructions.

I truly appreciate his attention to detail and the patience he displayed when I had questions. All said and done…. Very happy with the car, and Matt’s excellent customer service!
