I originally had an appointment for Friday and received less than desirable service. The issue was not noted in the paperwork and I was told that my issue would probably happen again the next day. I was told to just bring it back on Monday without an appointment because the would see that I had been there already. I was there for 4 hours and foe them to not thourougly check out my car was ridiculous. Fast forward to today’s service. Disregarding the advice from Friday’s poor service, I made the appointment for Monday anyway. Upon getting there, it was a total change in service. The attendant listened, took notes and also apologized for the poor service on Friday. As I was explaining to him my experience, the service manager came in and overheard my conversation. He asked me what happened and told me that it was totally unacceptable and they would take care of me today. As I returned to pick up my car, George took his time to explain to me what the diagnostics tests may have revealed, next steps and a genuine concern of me being irritated from Friday’s events. Although it was after closing time, he wasn’t rushed nor did he rush me. Thanks to the interactions I had in today, Gurnee Hyundai has retained this customer. After the lackadaisical attitude from the guys on Friday? I was actually considering taking my business elsewhere. Nite that we have purchased 3 cars from this dealership and have always had decent service until now. This was actually the first service outside of oil changes and a couple of recalls that we have had to do, so the initial appointment was not a good impression. Thanks to Paul, the service director,George, the service provider and Alexis, the clerk for redeeming the level of customer service that we have expected for the past 6 years.

I had a great experience at this dealership and especially want to thank Jaye for all of his help. I came in feeling really nervous about the process, but he made everything so much easier and more comfortable for me and my family. He took the time to truly listen to our needs, answered all of our questions, and made sure we felt heard and valued every step of the way. He went above and beyond to accommodate us, and his patience and kindness made a huge difference. Buying a car can be stressful, but he turned it into a positive and memorable experience. I’m so grateful for his support and would definitely recommend working with him to anyone looking for a car.

Worst place to come for service they take days on end to do simple jobs and then will charge you triple the price and claim it took longer then expected. The service team doesn’t care and will hang up on you when you call and ask about your car they will ignore the call or worst pick up and hang up on you I wish I went to a smaller shop instead that would’ve done the work and not charged 400 for a diagnostic. I also paid to get my car checked a full check around the car in the engine bay under the car and it was never done they filled out the paper with green check marks that’s all other info was randomly put in made no sens. They didn’t do nothing no test drive nothing! They just in took on the shop for 30 minutes then outside for 6 days then when I would call and someone picks up somehow I called perfect timing right when they where gonna call me back with more bs they will lie if you are doing a extended warranty work please go somewhere else they won’t stay in contact with warranties so you have a high chance of getting everything voided good luck coming here I highly recommend anywhere else.

⭐☆☆☆☆ My experience at Gurnee Hyundai was extremely disappointing from start to finish. I scheduled a service appointment online for a safety recall after receiving a letter from Hyundai about a braking issue with my Tucson. When I arrived, I was told they had no record of my online appointment because, according to the service department, they don’t receive online bookings. Thankfully, they were able to squeeze me in. The bigger issue was that they insisted there was no braking recall for my vehicle, despite the fact that I had received an official recall letter in the mail. I was told they couldn’t perform any recall work because it wasn’t showing in their system and that I should “wait a few months” to see if it eventually appeared. Being told to wait several months for a potential braking safety issue is unacceptable and certainly doesn’t inspire confidence. While the vehicle was there, I also asked them to diagnose an audio problem where only one speaker was working and the other three were not. They had my car for seven hours and were still unable to determine the cause. To make matters worse, I received a text with a link that was supposed to let me track the status of my vehicle during service. The link never displayed any information. After six hours with no updates, I called the dealership and was told they were still taking my vehicle on a test drive. Neither the recall concern nor the speaker issue required an extended test drive, so that explanation made little sense. Overall, the lack of communication, the failure of their online scheduling system, the inability to verify an official recall, and spending an entire day without resolving either issue made this a very frustrating experience. I expected much better service from a Hyundai dealership.

I was very disappointed Engine light was on brand new car should be covered under warranty. They found out that there was Water in the gas tank Wkn needs told me the car. They should’ve told me to be careful for gas stations. They might have too much water in their gas. Very disappointed bought two cars from you never again. I will use Facebook Instagram.
