Precision Auto Tech

I took my niece's 2015 Nissan to Eric of Precision Auto Tech for auto repair for what I had received diagnosis from multiple shops that a transmission repair or replacement was needed. Eric was to perform his diagnosis and recommend what he thought was needed. His 1st diagnosis was fuel injectors, mass air flow sensor, and other minor repairs, not related to the running of the car. Later he reported that it did need a transmission replacement. I authorized him to do all that was recommended. I paid for the transmission and extended warranty. The repairs took 6-months to complete. Eric was apologetic for the length of time it took. As the repairs were being completed, other items were discovered needed done. I authorized those repairs and paid in advance. Precision Auto Tech accepts check or cash, NO Credit Cards. After work was completed, I owed a balance of $2,369.00 for new battery, transmission fluid, labor, towing and programming. I asked if we could see and have him take us for a test drive, but I was told only after balance was paid in full and he was not responsible for damage due to storage, if not paid immediately. I live out of state and paid by mailing the payments. When my brother delivered the check the car had been in an accident. The car was in worse condition than when it was taken to Precision Auto Tech. Eric denied the damage happening while in his possession. Eric said his policy does not call for the release of any receipts for purchase of transmission or its work. I took the car to 94 Nissan for diagnostic and repair. They had to replace the same mass air flow sensor and it diagnosed as having transmission damage. I reported this to Eric at Precision Auto Tech and he asked me to bring it back. I rejected his offer and asked again for the transmission distributor's information I had paid for and warranty. Eric said he would have to get back to me and of course, he never did. There are definite credibility issues with Precision Auto Tech. I had committed before realizing the red flags. The initial delivery transaction, my brother took the car to the address given, but did not see the business, but Eric met him and took the car. It appears as if he may rent space from an industrial area. Communicating was me calling and no answer. His message machine is full and can't take any messages. Eric never empties it. He periodically checks what calls were received and responds. I would have to agree with Ms. Brown's review statement of a 1-star rating may be too high.

I wouldn't spend $1in this place. Had an 10:00 appointment that was scheduled yesterday for today. I arrived at 9:45 thinking the shop would be open. As the website claims to open at 9am.I called several times with no answer, voice mail was full, so leaving a message was impossible. A guy showed up with keys to the so called business and claimed to call someone by the name of Dee who never answered. This guy claimed he was going to Dee's house to let him know. Another hour passed, so I decided to leave. Soon as I leave I get an incoming call, Guess who! Precision Auto Tech. I didn't answer because they already showed me that my business with them was not important. In conclusion, I wouldn't want anyone from this place to touch my vehicle.( PS. 2 & a half hours wasted!!!)

If there was a way to give negative stars believe me I would. This place was supposed to put a new transmission in our truck. It was supposed to take a couple of days. The work took a week. Four days later same problem. They kept feeding us promises to have it done until the total time added up to a month. Not only did they not fix the transmission but they broke other things that werent even wrong when we brought it to them in the first place.

Dee was very nice and he got me in the same day. I think he was a bit pricey but he did exactly what I wanted him to.
