First off ,I took my reefer to Thermo king On Joliet Rd. They misdiagnosed my unit. They had it for 3 hours ,they tell me I need a new coil . The mechanic said that it was cracked leaking out all my fluids 6000.00 for the part plus labor over 9000.00 . I pulled my unit over to Big Rig Fixer. Patrick to a look at the unit,and determined the gasket on the compressor was leaking bad. He informed me he needed to order parts and he could get my unit up and running for about 4000.00. He called me kept me updated and had me fixed . The unit runs like brand new. The unit needed a sensor also and some pm parts. Total 4600.00 . Pat saved me money and time. I would not hesitate to send my unit back to Big Rig Fixer. Thank you very much.

I have no experience with this business but i will tell you i have a little story to tell with my experience with the owner Patrick in a different light. I was stuck at a grocery store parking lot in the rain with my car battery dead needing a jump start..i looked for nearby help and I saw a man walking to his car in the rain to his truck and so i asked him if he could help me and jump my car and he happily said yes....it just so happens he was an auto mechanic/owner. What are the chances!!!. After checking my car, he noticed i had loose old battery terminals and so he drove me to the nearest auto parts store to get the new part that my car needed to get me back on the road safely....GOD bless this man! He gave me his business card and i looked him up and decided to leave this review. World always needs more people like Patrick! GOD BLESS YOU!

I recently drove my 2010 Newmar Ventana motorhome from Texas to Illinois to have it serviced by Pat at Big Rig Fixer. Pat is the brother of one of my close friends. We were talking at a social gathering and it became evident that Pat really knows his stuff around diesel engines and older RVs. I was so confident in Pat’s abilities, I made the drive to have some intermittent turbo issues diagnosed and the dash AC repaired. Another shop simply wanted to replace the turbo without diagnosing the underlying cause of the issues and wanted nearly $4,000 to replace a leaking 45ft AC hose. Pat was able to fix the AC issues for significantly less and took care of the turbo replacement. In addition, he went over the chassis from bumper to bumper and identified other issues with the coach: 1. Cracked radiator fan blades just waiting to break and leave me stranded on the side of the road, 2. Headlights and Fog lights not working properly due to a failed body control module – this was a recall item that other shops had missed. Pat convinced Spartan to let him do the recall work even though he isn’t an authorized Spartan service center. 3. Replaced old brittle coolant hoses 4. Fixed an air leak in the brake system 5. Fixed some wiring issues where previous work had been done with non-sealing connectors. 6. Fixed a small leak in the power steering system 7. Fixed a small leak in the transmission fill tube seal Bottom line – Pat’s philosophy is to identify and fix small issues before they turn into big issues leaving you stranded. Additionally, he is committed to getting the work done in a timely manner. Going above and beyond expectations to find hard to get parts to get you back on the road quickly.

Big Rig Fixer has not backed down from any challenge I've brought them. Hydraulics issue with the winch on my millitary surplus vehicle - fixed! Issues with the air system - fixed! If Pat and his crew don't know how to fix it, it can't be fixed. Not only is the crew here knowledgeable, but they take care of their customers. I would highly recommend Big Rig Fixer for your big truck repairs.

This was the second time i have used Big Rig Fixer. I am from St. Louis. I first used them in August 2020 when i had an issue with my truck i found them by googling big truck repair shops thay where close and had good reviews thay took very good and fast care of me back then. Just last week i had a check engine light on and was not using DEF when i was in the Chicago area so i called them thay said come on over thay got right on it found the problem took care of it very quickly i highly recommend Big Rig Fixer 5 star's in my book !
