AMS Performance

Just got intakes and exhaust installed today on my 2025 Nissan Z and I couldn’t be happier with the service, the quality of work, and the communication throughout the whole process. Was on the fence about getting the AMS driveshaft because too many people crying about the NVH. Sometimes its those exact people that hold you back when getting to the next level of one's performance journey, I find this upgrade to be a good choice when your at a certain point or just pulling the trigger and understanding the dynamics of how it changes the cars behaviors in a good way. If running a car you want or need a better 0 -60 and better performance up high as well as in between, then why wouldn't someone want to be that person that stands out with this kind of upgrade. Also, if weight is your biggest thing, then why wouldn't you want to save some. Also last thing-- make sure you know how to install it or get a reputable shop that can. I luvv my choice in having one. Seriously. There so much more I can say.. We are all different kinds of drivers. So either your with those that want that next level option... Or your like everyone else crying about NVH and how its too much this and that when its really not. Stop upgrading a street car then. Keep it stock gentlemen.....

Ordered a $450 intake on May 1st. Package shipped May 5th, made it to Jacksonville on May 7th, and disappeared. No proactive communication from AMS at any point during this. Filed a UPS claim on May 11th. UPS resolved it on May 21st and told me to contact the shipper. That was the first time I ever called AMS — three weeks after my order, and only because UPS told me to reach out. Still no email, no support ticket, no outreach from them. Spent the following week calling repeatedly. Got one guy on the phone who was decent, but nothing ever followed up in writing. No emails. No ticket. No updates. Phones were completely dead today (dead/busy beep) with no voicemail setup. Filed a PayPal dispute. Got a call back within 45 minutes where the sellers showed the first real urgency I’d seen from them in a month. Here’s where it gets interesting. They told me I had to cancel the PayPal dispute before they would reship the item. I’ve done ecommerce for years. The dispute process exists exactly for situations like this (a lost package and zero communication for a month). All they had to do was respond to the dispute, show a tracking number, and PayPal handles it. Instead they made canceling my only protection a condition of resolving the problem. I said no. So they refunded me instead. And banned me from doing business with them. They lost the package, went silent for a month, and when I used the exact consumer protection tools that exist for this scenario, that was somehow the problem. Buyer beware. Edit 05/29/2026 - As the record shows multiple outreach attempts were made to the seller since the initial order. Once the same day asking for an order confirmation email (May 1st). And again a few days later asking for a tracking number (May 5th). Neither were replied to or acknowledged by ams. On the 19th of May ups reached out to the seller to let them know the claim was completed. May 21st I had to chase down ams for an update. I called again Wednesday May 27th and was told someone would be in touch. Asked for written communication confirming the case was active. None was provided. I called again on May 28th at 3:32 pm est (well into the business day) for an update. All lines were disconnected. I did what any reasonable buyer would do and asked PayPal to open a case. This was about 20 mins later at 3:51 pm est. AMS then called me for the first time at 4:16 pm est. almost 30 mins after the case was filed. It went to voicemail and they called again at 4:26. I told them all they needed to do was reply to the PayPal dispute with the new tracking number and PayPal would release their funds upon delivery. They told me I needed to cancel my only protection. I said I would not do that and they could update the case with PayPal (which is exactly how the dispute process works) They called me back at 5:04 pm to ban me from the platform after trying to get me to void my only protection on unrendered goods.

Very nice inlet tubes, fit pretty well with the increased size over factory. Instructions were straight forward and helpful, easy install

The AMS intakes and heat exchanger is a must buy if you own a VR30. It’s crazy how you can hear the turbos spool more with just some intakes, and you will also experience less heat soak with the the upgraded heat exchanger which is necessary if you don’t want to lose performance. Definitely recommend these two parts as one of the first mods for your Q! 😎💯
