I cannot recommend this shop enough! I was calling around for quotes to get my timing belt changed and another Aamco location was going to charge me 50% more than what I ended up paying here—for half the work! From the moment I called, the experience was night and day. ​They actually encouraged me to bring my car in for a free diagnostic first just to make sure I actually needed to replace it. Talk about honesty! Their pricing is incredible, and they never push you into getting unnecessary services. ​A huge shout out to Lupa, Iqbal, and Chris—they were absolutely wonderful to work with, transparent, and incredibly kind. I also love that they have a secure nighttime drop-off box, which made it so easy to leave my car without stressing about daytime scheduling. I am so incredibly glad I found them. They are officially my new go-to shop for all future repairs!

Recently I visited my sister’s place in Aurora and started having transmission issues with my Toyota Camry. I took the car to AAMCO of Aurora, where they did a free check-up, clearly explained the problem, provided a fair quote, and fixed my car within 3 days. Excellent service and very professional team. Highly recommended!

In 2024, I began experiencing transmission issues and initially brought my vehicle to a local independent shop. They confirmed it was a transmission problem, but I chose to go with AAMCO because I trusted a national, reputable brand. In late 2024, I paid roughly $5,000 for AAMCO to replace my transmission. For about 7 months, everything seemed fine—until I noticed fluid stains in my driveway. When I inspected underneath the vehicle, I was shocked. The transmission pan had developed a pinhole due to heavy rust. The transmission itself looked clearly used—more like something pulled from a junkyard than a newly installed unit. What made this even more concerning is that AAMCO had outsourced my vehicle to a dealership for evaluation. I specifically chose AAMCO because they market themselves as transmission experts—so why was my car being sent elsewhere? When I brought the issue back to them, I pointed out the rusted pan and also checked the transmission dipstick, where I found visible metal shavings—rusted metal shavings. While they agreed to replace the pan and flush the fluid, the underlying concern about the quality of the transmission was never properly addressed. I may not have had direct proof at the time, but I have experience in the automotive industry and know what a new vs. used component looks like. Fast forward to February 2026—less than two years later—this $5,000 transmission is failing again. Warning lights come on, including the AWD lock light, RPMs surge, and the vehicle struggles to go beyond 30 mph. This has been the worst automotive service experience I’ve ever had. A $5,000 repair should not fail like this, especially in such a short timeframe. The one-year warranty has expired, but that does not justify the poor quality of work and parts. I am posting this in hopes that AAMCO management or ownership will step in and make this right by repairing or replacing the transmission at no cost. They refused to replace my transmissions radiator from a minor accident and was leaking, saying it needs body work. The mounting was barly bent and they couldnt come up with a solution to mount it on their own.
