I generally do all my own work as I've had too many bad experiences with mechanics. There are two exceptions: AC and transmissions, I won't touch those. I've had no A/C for several years because AC is not something I mess with. I was quoted a price under $300 to have it diagnosed. In a couple hours they called back, it's fixed! That was pretty impressive. I had an upcoming timing belt replacement scheduled at 100K, decided to get it done at the current 87K. I've R&R'ed timing belts in Toyota trucks before but I JUST. DIDN'T. FEEL. LIKE. DOING. IT. :-D Meridian Automotive quoted "a price" that was up to $1000 less than estimates at other "reputable shops." I was in no hurry, it took longer than expected, but better that than a rush job. So far, no complaints,they used OEM replacement parts, I've done my nit-picky post repair checks, and the work is warrantied. Several of the techs are "Toyota guys" so if that's what you're driving, give them a shot. The do all vehicles but Toyotas have their own eccentricities that many shops aren't aware of.

Just dropped my car off to get a CV joint replaced. I was the 1st cuttomer there and was warmly greeted. Customer service is huge for me, and they get 5 outta 5 for that. I asked if they do school discounts since I'm going to college, and that will be saving me $150. They scheduled an Uber for me for a ride home which was nice. When I got home, they called and told me they got under the car and see that the left CV is much worse, the other is starting to leak ans tear also. They said they emailed me the quote, but I just asked him to tell me over the phone. The total is around $1500. After getting my vehicle back tomorrow I will update the post to reflect the full experience. The reason for the 4 stars instead of the 5 is simply due to the $ shock. I read many reviews on different mechanic shops in the area, and am glad I went with this shop.

I live in Utah and was in Merdian visiting family and my car started having issues. I google search for a mechanic and Meridian Automotive came up. I was very impressed with their ad and decided to call them for an appointment. Jonah was friendly, professional, and helpful. He scheduled my car in the very next morning and I was sent text message confirmations with cancelation and reschedule instructions if needed. They diagnose my cars issues including items of general maintenance all listed individually with cost break down of parts and labor and totals. I was allowed to authorize or decline each item as I chose. The authorized repairs were completed that day and I was texted that my car was ready for pickup. I did have the option to pay the invoice on my phone but i decide to pay on pickup. Again everyone was friendly, profresional and helpful. The entire experience was very efficient and pleasant. I will definitely return if necessary.

I cannot say enough good things about Meridian Automotive! Best mechanic shop I've ever been too! Car work can be scary, but from start to finish Jonah helped make the process of my car repair go so smooth and painless. I am so thankful! They fixed everything so quick, the price was totally reasonable, even fairly generous, and the customer service was absolutely amazing. I think it's also worth noting that the shop is so clean and the waiting room is very comfortable. Thank you again for everything! We now have a mechanic we can trust anytime we need a car service!

Hayden and the team at Meridian Automotive are awesome. I had an unfortunate experience with a used car purchase that ended up needing significant repair work. Hayden was an excellent communicator at each step of the process and always laid out all the options without pressuring. He helped make it go as well as it could go given the situation I was in. They have a Toyota master tech here so it’s a great option if you have a Toyota.
