Absolutely unreal experience with Cope Collision. We brought them a 2024 Porsche GT3 after a very minor clear coat issue occurred during a PPF install. To be clear, there was ZERO body damage. No collision. No accident. No bent or damaged panel. The car simply needed a fender repainted on a $225,000 custom ordered Porsche. Before we ever authorized the repair, I made it crystal clear MULTIPLE times to management that we ONLY wanted to move forward if this repair was NOT going to be reported to Carfax. We explained exactly why. On a car like this, a Carfax report can absolutely destroy value even if the repair itself is perfect. They acknowledged it. They understood it. They assured us it would not be an issue. We paid almost $5,000 OUT OF POCKET specifically to avoid insurance involvement and avoid a Carfax report. Then they reported it anyway. Now the customer goes to trade the vehicle in and there is suddenly a Carfax entry tied to a nearly brand new GT3 over a repaint that never should have been reported in the first place. The dealership immediately used it against the customer on value. The customer is understandably furious, and now OUR small business is the one being hit over it. We did everything we could to handle the situation responsibly, professionally, and privately. We trusted the assurances we were given by Cope Collision, paid out of pocket based on those assurances, and now we are left dealing with the fallout of a situation that could seriously hurt our company financially. What makes this even worse is that when the customer contacted Cope Collision, they told the customer that WE reported it to Carfax. That is complete bullshit. We are a detail/PPF shop. We do not report repairs to Carfax, nor would we have any reason to after paying thousands out of pocket specifically trying to prevent this exact situation. When I contacted management afterward, the response was basically a shrug. They admitted we requested it not be reported. They admitted it “shouldn’t have been.” Yet there was zero urgency, zero accountability, and zero real effort to help fix the mess they created. Mistakes happen. But the lack of ownership afterward is what is truly disappointing here. We are now potentially facing devastating financial consequences because we trusted a company that assured us they understood how important this was. Honestly the work was great! Overpriced but great work! If you own a high-end, exotic, or collector vehicle where history and value matter, get EVERYTHING in writing. Verbal assurances clearly mean nothing here.

Last summer I purchased a very high end Certified Pre Owned vehicle from Texas. Upon arrival in an enclosed trailer I noticed a very small flaw/dent adjacent to the sunroof. I immediately contacted the sellers and was told that during the certification process, they would never miss such a flaw. Long story short is that I was able to prove the flaw was present prior to shipment to Idaho. I was then told to get some estimates and forward back to the TX dealership. I have never used the large national chains but rather the smaller Indy shops for any body work needs. None of the shops I contacted would even quote my job as it was too small and way too complex and delicate of a fix. I was finally told to try Cope Collision from a trusted friend and car enthusiast. I immediately drove out to Cope and met with Scotty the GM of this family business. I was immediately put at ease with his expertise and explanation of the proposed fix. OK, I'll wrap it up but these guys ROCK and deserve a few words. Picked my car up today and it was absolutely flawless, even for the trained eye. Cope's communication throughout this process with not only me but with the 4th largest dealership of this mfr. in the world was amazing and I'm truly grateful for the job they executed!!! If I could give 10 stars I would, they're simply that good!!!!

Had a great experience end to end. The team kept me up to date on my vehicle every day, and immediately responded to any and all questions I had around the process. Most importantly, everyone here was transparent and honest around all aspects of repairs. This is the only shop I’ll use if needed in the future.

If someone recommends this company be careful of several things. Do NOT sign any documents to order parts until BOTH interior or exterior and unseen damages are fully submitted to insurance (even if its the other parties insurance)! Wait until all evaluations are done before hand. Otherwise you will have no way out of accepting a total payment from insurance to scrap the car and they won't pay for all of it. Save yourself the headache! At the beginning they want you to sign a document ( Docusign ) giving them permission to order all parts and pay for what insurance doesn't pay, that allows them to go after what insurance owes them, be CAREFUL OF THIS ACTION! Their fees are bloated ,so be prepared! if you do sign you will be held accountable for any uncollected funds if they refuse to pay ,even if the accident is not your fault! This includes interest on the balance and attorneys fees. The day we were to pick up our car after four months, held hostage, they had been paid by the insurance the final supplement , yet it had not reached the release desk. Be sure to have them check before they refuse to give you your car! We had to return later to pick it up. It's a game for them how much they can soak both parties! We believe they inflated the work and so did the responsible party's insurance company. (Perhaps , have the car evaluated by several companies before you decide who to have do the work. ) Due to how new our car was the parts (original) we were told some were unavailable and this was why our car was in so long to repair. Then all of a sudden everything is paid and we get our car back. Being held hostage? Probably. This company doesn't care about you , only the money they can make from you. I suggest you go elsewhere. Surely there are better businesses out there for minor accidents!

I just want people to stop and read this. If you think you will drop your car off for an estimate hoping insurance will cover the costs, you are mistaken. I had 2 cars at the same time brought to them with instance claims. Both companies could not afford their unreasonable fees. My VW was taken apart more than it should’ve. They billed the insurance $3900 for teardown which they did not agree to, since insurance did not authorize them for that kind of tear down leaving me with $875 bill in order for me to take the car from them. They charged us $2570 for storage fees alone. Like many other reviews state, they do business unethically, and will keep your car as hostage until you pay their ridiculous amount of fees. My car had a quarter panel damage, they took half of the car apart. Total fraud!! See the pictures for yourself. One is the initial car damage and the other what they did for just an estimate. They tore my entire door panel for no reason, they tore the left headlight for no reason. This is just crazy. I’ve never seen anything like that in my life! If you do take your car here, ask them about all the fees and specifically state that any teardown or repairs must be authorized by your adjuster in order for them to proceed. I will be also filing DOI claim because this is ridiculous practice in the valley and must be stopped!
