Murphy's Auto Service

A co-worker suggested I take my car to Murphy's when having electrical issues. BEST DECISION EVER!!! I wasn't sure if it was the alternator or battery. Called Steve Thursday morning to set up an appointment, he got me that day and said he'll try his best to have it done before the weekend. True to his word, Steve called Friday afternoon and my car was ready. The prices are straightforward and a better value than Brakes Plus or Midas. BP wanted to charge me $572 for a used alternator. Murphy's got me a new alternator for over $100 cheaper and the labor price was cheaper than as well.

This place was always a go to when my parents were around, way back when Murphy was still around and my Dad would hang out and just misbehave! The workmanship has always been top notch, where it was Murph, Dan or Steve.

The guys at Murphy's did two pre-purchase vehicle inspections for us with no notice and even stayed past closing time to help us out. We were able to make an informed decision and they saved us a bundle! I would not hesitate to take a vehicle to them for any type of work. They are the real deal! Thank you Bill and Steve!

The owner comes off a little grumpy, but he is a great guy and awesome at getting you back on the road. I always suggest this shop to anyone in need of auto repairs. UPDATE: This is still my go to shop for my needs. Great work, done efficient and quick. #1 recommendation in the Waterloo area.

I've gone with Murphy's for at least the last 5 years and have been happy with their service, turnaround time, and consider the prices fair. Haven't needed to bring a car back to repair anything twice. New owner now, but he was already employed there for years and regularly worked on my car. I recommend them.
