Chumbley's Auto Care

I took my vehicle to chumbleys after being compressed with time all winter after just purchasing it as a new used vehicle to me. I felt that it was accumulating a lot of neglect and wanted to get it up to speed quickly. The person helping me took my order and managed all of the details that I relayed to them, which was a lot, and they took care to make sure that they addressed each one. I also had the snap financial option which I took advantage of for the first time and that helped me tackle more issues in one repair to get the vehicle up to spec. This was the first time I'd used their services since several vehicles ago and the updates to the store and the service time was impressive. They had a loaner vehicle available which was my major need and reason for delaying repairs so long. The staff was very friendly and helped me with all of my questions they showed me that the vehicle had been owned by a previous customer and printed out all of the vehicles maintenance history at my request and assured me that it was well taken care of. The person I worked with offered me an option to get a ride to the store which I didn't need but was nice to know that I had that option. With all of the extras it was such a smooth experience that I no longer feel worried about resources when needing a car repair. There was a particularly finicky issue with the radio that was repaired in part and a miscommunication on my part and they said if it's still having issues bring it back in and we'll look at it. It happens intermittently so that I will need to bring back to have a deeper dive but in the mean time they fixed the port with the blown fuse that was caught, so now I can charge my phone again. When I took it off the lot and drove it around the next week it has to be the smoothest ride I've had in one of my own vehicles probably ever without exaggeration. I'm really impressed and it makes me want to take my car for more rides which is really saying something because my hobby is riding motorcycles and that's usually where I'd prefer to be. They asked about my mom seeing as how she is a long time customer there, and how her health is holding up, which was really nice because she's been going through a lot. They even saved the little iridescent valve stem caps on the tires that I had on the old tires and I hadn't mentioned it. It's the little things, but there were a lot of little things that will make my future decisions easier. With all of the supportive things I've been able to use my vehicle to go on adventure walks with my dog while on medical leave, which is an incredible uplift to my mental load right now. Grateful for the seamless and supportive experience. 🙏

We LOVE chumblys. For how busy they are, things are always done in a timely manner. They always update us along the way, it’s fair priced. And the office is homey & the guys up front are awesome. 10/10 recommend.

We have received the best care and repair at Chumbley's Auto Care here in Indianola, Iowa. They took care of our battery that we purchased at Napa that was the wrong battery size/model three times. Going to Chumbley's, we finally got the right size/model battery we needed. then we had a single issue that was actually several problems with the whole underside of our vehicle, and they were able to repair all of the rusted-out parts in 5 days and loaned my husband a vehicle to get to his work. Our vehicle is now 26 years old! It is a 2000 GMC Sierra 1500 pickup with a Leer Topper. It may be old, but it started out in northern Iowa, traveled to Michigan, there for 4 years, then back to Iowa here in Indianola! We did our 3rd 4th of July parade this year, in Carlisle, Iowa!

I recently took my vehicle to Chumley‘s auto care for an oil change and had a great experience from start to finish. I accidentally showed up a day early to drop off my vehicle, but they were incredibly accommodating and took it in anyway. They even drove me home afterward, and picked me back up once the service was complete, which was extremely helpful and appreciated. The entire staff was friendly, professional, and easy to work with. They kept me updated throughout the process by texting me about any concerns, they found with my vehicle and asking for approval before making repairs. I really appreciated the communication and transparency. The wait time and pricing were both very reasonable for the level of service I received. I would definitely recommend Chumley‘s auto care to anyone looking for honest, reliable, and customer focused auto service!

Have used Chumbley’s only once but will definitely be coming back. Prices were reasonable and the staff is friendly and helpful. The lobby is clean and has a few free drinks available while you wait. I was impressed by the level of professionalism from a small shop! Every vehicle inspection is thorough and pictures are provided of your vehicle during the inspection process.
