Honest Auto

Been there several times with our two vehicles. Always get great, quick service at a fair price. Have had all different kinds of things done, A/C, electrical, starters. Our go to for any automobile repairs.

We were on a 2100 mile road trip from Los Angeles to my home in Michigan. We broke down in Council Bluffs, Iowa because the car is over 20 years old. We decided to get the car fixed at Honest Auto because a highway helper recommended them to us. We broke down on the highway on Friday and ended up having to get it towed and then stay the weekend in Iowa since this place didn't open till Monday. Monday morning we took an Uber to Honest Auto and explained our situation to the receptionist, Kristi. The Owner, Larry, ended up working on our car immediately because they wanted to get us back on the road as quickly as possible. They replaced the fuel pump by lunch, but when Larry drove it out of the shop the steering was completely off. The car was brought back in and inspected. Turns out when we got our car towed, the tow-truck driver (not at all affiliated with Honest Auto) had bent our tie rods on one side when he attached the tow hook. The part needed to be replaced but if it was ordered now it would've arrived 2 days later. Instead, Larry, welded the inner and outer together and straightened it at no charge! This was just a temporary fix so that we could get home and we are going to get these parts replaced in Michigan (with the Tow company paying for it). We got back on the road and drove the car for 9 hours straight. The steering was completely straight and we got home in the middle of the night. They were so helpful. The receptionist, Kristi was so nice and even called us the next day to check that we arrived safely. Larry was very knowledgable and really good at his job, our tire was realigned perfectly after he welded it. I would 100% recommend this place. This is probably the best repair shop I've ever been too, and I would definitely get the car fixed there again if they were located in Michigan.

Great people! But most importantly honest people and mechanics! Its literally in their name and they stand by there name. Honest auto repair has serviced every car in my family and extended family(a small fleet lol)with work cars and kids cars from complete engine replacement to oil changes. They can do it all. HONESTLY

I am new to the CB area and wasn't sure where to take my car for a warning light diagnostic. I went online and tried to find a reputable shop. I chose Honest Auto because of their reviews and their responses to negative reviews. I tried to call but for some reason the phone wasn't taking calls or messages. I decided to send an email. They responded quickly, which surprised me. I don't put much trust in email communications these days but I was impressed with their rapid and helpful answers. I called again and a staff member answered. They were friendly, helpful. I was scheduled quickly and they called as soon they knew the issue. I gave them the go ahead to fix the problem, plus the mechanic found another issue with rear wheel bearings which I was glad he found. I forgot to mention that I didn't have a ride home when I dropped off my car. I had planned on getting an Uber but they offered me a lift instead. I was impressed. Overall I experienced really great service. The only issue was the billing. I didn't notice the sign on the front counter that said they charge for using a credit card. That caught me off guard but I can't blame them for that; the sign was there for me to see; it was just just small and easy to miss. Also, I can't say whether or not the charges were fair. I wouldn't now how to determine that. I just have to trust that they were fair. So far the car is running good and the repairs solved my car issues. Again, overall the service was really good.

Amazing place. Larry is very knowledgeable and did a wonderful job on my vehicle. He got it back to me in a very time manner. He was great at listening. His lady at the front desk was so nice and made the experience wonderful as well. Definitely the lace to go.
