Your Favorite Mechanic

Pulling up to a shop like this is already skeptical, but I never judge a book by its cover. I took my car to Greg for an INSPECTION ONLY due to a P0420 Code. Spark plugs, and ALL oxygen sensors were replaced in this car months before taking it to Greg. My car has ONLY been seen by Infiniti, and I should have kept it that way. After he "inspected" the vehicle and told me what he thinks the problem is, I picked it up. Upon driving the vehicle, I immediately knew something was wrong. The car was putting and acting as if it wanted to take off with my foot on the brake while stopped. I gave it two more days before calling him (just to make sure I wasn't going crazy). FIRST, he was unable to find any paperwork on my vehicle (that's because he did not use the correct phone number I gave him when the service was scheduled). THEN, he told me nothing was taken apart or disassembled for the inspection. After going back and forth, we hung up. A day later I found the paper and read the summary of what was done. Per the summary, they removed my spark plugs during the inspection. After seeing this, I made a personal trip back to Your Favorite Mechanic. After challenging him, Greg states the mechanic took out ONE spark plug. I challenged him again because he once said NOTHING was disassembled. My next question was...Are you sure the spark plug was put back on securely? He said he ASSUMES the one was but couldn't be sure because he did not do the work. I also asked...why would a mechanic only check ONE spark plug, and why does your paper say PLUGS and not PLUG? He couldn't answer those questions. Needless to say, he didn't try to look to make sure the ONE PLUG was good, and at that point, I DID NOT want him touching ANYTHING else on my car! He must only go above and beyond for his regulars. The only positive is that I was not charged for the inspection, and that's because he was unable to tell me exactly what the issue is with my car. NEVER AGAIN!!!!

Greg is the epitome of class & integrity: and it is also reflected in his business. When I tell you THIS IS THE MECHANIC YOU’RE LOOKING FOR- there’s no doubt about it. You want fair pricing? He’s your guy. You want a QUALITY JOB DONE? He’s your guy. I had my transmission replaced by him. Upon completion, I drove 20 miles to work one-way and back for 2 months, took 2 trips to Tennessee and back after that, and took another 3 one-way, 20 mile trips to work…..and had not one problem. He and his crew aren’t rinky-dink mechanics. They’re experienced. You can go to the mass production places every 3 miles…..or you can go to a team that has a minimum of 65 years worth of experience. Please take my word for it. This is the mechanic shop you’ve been looking for.

This shop is top notch in every aspect!! Skills, knowledge, clear explanation of repairs needed, expediancy in doing repairs and returning automobile within reasonable time frames. Owner and staff super efficient and friendly. Most importantly is their honesty and character which speaks volumes to my family. We have 3 cars constantly in play. From simple maintenance to complicated repairs we trust them completely!!

Greg is my favorite mechanic, and I didn't even have a vehicle serviced! I called him because his shop was close to a used car that I wanted to purchase, and I asked if he would be able to check it out with me. He was booked out several weeks so he couldn't do that, but he took half an hour of his time to explain what to look out for, what dealer fees are allowed to be charged at a used dealer, and help give me ideas on who I could complain to when I mentioned I had been fighting an odometer discrepancy with the Stone Mountain Toyota on a different car I had just purchased. It was really a breath of fresh air to speak with someone so kind and honest. Highly recommend.

Greg and his team are great! Greg came highly recommended & I appreciate his knowledge, kind and professional manner. Greg & his guys keep my vehicle running smooth & I feel safe on the rode. Thanks for all you do. Sheila March 2022- Time for maintenance. I not only rec'd my regular oil change/ tire rotation; I needed brakes pads on front & rear. Greg and him team did the job professionally, in a timely manner and at a reasonably price. I love my mechanic, he's always willing to share info with you & keeps my car running in great condition.
